“LOVE LOVE LOVE this store! The people that own it are super sweet, friendly and welcoming to everyone and are very knowledgeable about all their products. They have spices that I can't find at most places and have the nicest oxtail ever. I also buy my grandkids hair products here and they're amazing. You can't beat their great prices either. If I could give you more stars, I most definitely would. If you've never visited, I definitely recommend that you do!”

“The only reason for 4 is because there is always room for improvement. I have been buying my Indian groceries from this store from the day when they first opened and it was 5 mins walking distance from my home to now 250 km from the store. They are honest, cooperative, punctual for pick up time. The website is useful, and if you want to add or substract items just call them within reasonable time and they will do it. Don't believe me, visit the store and experience yourself.”
“The Grainery is such a hidden gem! They source a wonderful range of local and package-free items. Everyone who works there has been amazing with helping me to refill my bottles of soaps, etc. I love the cooperative structure of the business and am happy to support this kind of initiative in my community. “This store usually has everything that I need. If a sale item is sold out, it is usually replenished quickly. I find that this store is very clean and well laid out. The prices are decent in today's economy. The staff are phenomenal. They are very friendly and willing to help. Some of my favorites are Nadine, Jonathan, Kim and Colby. This is my main go to store. “Not sure what company runs the flower/ horticulture shops for Sobeys in Halifax, but they truly do an AMAZING job!! “Small store with limited items. Needs some organization and perhaps spruced up stock. The owner stands behind her claim of hand slaughtered chicken she sells, which she said she gets from Montreal, hence the 4 stars.”
“Switched back to Sobeys pharmacy from Shoppers Drug Mart because the label warnings Shoppers prints on prescription containers are illegible and Shoppers won't do anything about it. Sobeys warning labels are legible.”

It is exactly what you would expect from a convenience store. a mix of odds and ends you may need. Whats perfect is the fact they are open 364 Days of the year, so even when most everything else is closed, they are open.”
“One of the best places for fresh meat and food! I can hardly believe I'm living in Canada and getting such an amazing deal: 1 kg of mixed grill for just $23! I once paid nearly $60 for just half a kilogram of beef grill in Edmonton. Many other places charge exorbitant prices for similar food. It’s completely unexpected to find such generous portions, high quality, and delicious food at this price. While you might not agree with all their methods—since people come from diverse cultures with their own preferences—there's no denying this is the best place for high-quality halal meat at an unbeatable price, comparable to Gateway prices. Plus, their food corner offers incredibly reasonable pricing, so much so that you’ll wonder if this is even possible in Canada!”

“I've been going to Atlantic SuperStore - Young Street longer than people under the age of 40 were yet to be born. I love everything about the store: the variety of food, the location, the prices, the knowledgeable staff -- and that includes the awesome security guards who always smile. I will never forget how thoughtful and kind the store employees were during COVID restrictions. I do realize how hard the employees work during beautiful summer weather as well as harsh cold wintery weather. I applaud Atlantic Superstore - Young Street for its constant high standards. However, smokes are decently priced, it normally has what you need and you really start to like the guy behind the counter

“Excellent place! Clean and bright with excellent products at reasonable prices (someone mentioned in a review that there were NO expired products....this is huge..... some Asian grocery stores do try to move expired products...I can understand but it erodes one's confidence). The freezer section is big. I lived in Asia for 7 years and Vancouver for over 20... this store is a lifeline for me (!)”
