“Excellent place! Clean and bright with excellent products at reasonable prices (someone mentioned in a review that there were NO expired products....this is huge..... some Asian grocery stores do try to move expired products...I can understand but it erodes one's confidence). The freezer section is big. I lived in Asia for 7 years and Vancouver for over 20... this store is a lifeline for me (!)”
“LOVE LOVE LOVE this store! The people that own it are super sweet, friendly and welcoming to everyone and are very knowledgeable about all their products. They have spices that I can't find at most places and have the nicest oxtail ever. I also buy my grandkids hair products here and they're amazing. You can't beat their great prices either. If I could give you more stars, I most definitely would. If you've never visited, I definitely recommend that you do!”

“Amazing asian store! Dropped by today to pick up some ramen. Unfortunately, there was everything but ramen. The reason I gave 5 stars is because the prices for everything else are very good. Drinks are cheap, snacks are cheap. Definitely a good place to grab chinese candy. Mostly Chinese products, no Japanese, Thai, Indian, etc.”

“I am so grateful to have this market in the neighbourhood. There is nothing better than getting off the ferry and going to grab some local produce on my way back home. This is my favourite time of year to go as I can get cherries, strawberries, peaches and other treats. I also like how they carry other local products. I have been able to purchase Nova Scotian made products as well at their store. Love the new location, much easier to move around in.”
“While the grocery prices are a little high, its the price of supporting a locally owned business. The environment is nice and their espresso drinks are to die for. I find myself coming back quite frequently for their white mochas (with oat milk) specifically :) I also really liked their seasonal option of the tiramisu latte! Sooo good!!”

“Not sure what company runs the flower/ horticulture shops for Sobeys in Halifax, but they truly do an AMAZING job!! I am particularly impressed by the delightful array of flowers and plants always presented at the Queen St. Sobeys: they are always so well taken care of, and such a wonderful and ever-changing variety of species and varieties!! “There are 2 stores closer to us, but we go out of our way to shop at G's. Great staff, so friendly and helpful, and product selection is really good - if you need it, G's has it. They even have used books, $1.99 each! Have enjoyed my conversations about books with staff, especially Sherry-Ann. My husband doesn't usually notice customer service, but even he remarked at nice it was to shop at G's. We highly recommend shopping here!”
