“I live halfway between the Broadview Hts and Independence locations. I always choose the Independence location because of their manager, Bryan. I went in this past Saturday and the store was very busy! The line was longer then usual due to Mothers Day being the next day. Bryan had such great customer service and was so apologetic(even though he didn’t need to be!) all us customers knew he was alone and doing the absolute best he could! It’s so rare nowadays to see people actually providing good customer service and not looking like a robot! Also, Bryan resolved an issue a disgruntled customer was having & Bryan was so patient yet very professional with her!”

January 2025 Best selection of groceries in the downtown core area. Beautiful building. Helpful staff members. Prices seem in line with area. Heinen’s was recommended by the guide at the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument, a place that is well worth a visit too.”
“Such a cute spot to stop by when you're near the park! It's a nice place to get local food gifts for someone. I've had a few of the baked goods and they've all been great. The salami and other preserved meats they have are really great too They tend to have some pretty interesting snacks, spices, and food mixes. Some items can be a bit pricey, but for a treat it's worth it and it feels nice to support a local business and products. The people working have always been friendly too.”

“I got overcharged for some honey I purchased. 1 bottle cost $12.15 & the other bottle was cost $7.. but I was charged $25…. Meaning the cashier ran the $12.15 bottle twice… I’d like to be refunded the difference, which is 6 bucks!

“GFS is always clean and well-organized, which makes shopping quick and easy. The aisles are neat, and they offer a wide variety of food products to choose from. However, when it comes to canned goods, it would be great to see more small-size can options available. Prices also feel a little on the higher side compared to other stores. Overall, a good shopping experience with room for small improvements.”

“We love the prices, quality, and convenience. They have most of the basic groceries - produce, breads, dairy, meats, seafood, canned goods, beer & wine, and more - at lower prices than the other stores. They also have several sections of specialty items - housewares, toys, clothing, etc. - that changes regularly. You never know what you might find. Bring a quarter to unlock the shopping cart (you'll get it back) and bring your own bags. The employees are friendly and helpful. It isn't a superstore, so there are a few items you won't find there - that's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. But for the money, you're better off getting most of what's on your list at Aldi's.”

“This grocery store is always so clean organized and well staffed. You can easily find what you’re looking for and all of the items are of high-quality and easy to prepare. I always find exactly what I came in for and always leave. Feeling happy. The coolers are easy to access and nothing is too high or low to reach. Their desserts are delicious and restaurant quality. “My first visit to this restaurant was a bit of a mixed experience.
I initially called to ask a few questions about the menu and opening hours. The lady who answered (Um Khalil) was incredibly kind and helpful—excellent customer service. However, when I called back a few hours later to place my order, the man who answered was the complete opposite. He rushed me through the call, barely answered my questions, and came off as sarcastic when I mentioned it was my first time and I wasn’t familiar with the menu. It really left a bad impression. Honestly, I’d recommend having someone else handle the phone orders.
On the bright side, the food was great.
I ordered three different large dishes, and they were all fresh and flavorful. However, the portions seemed a bit small for something labeled as “large.” I can’t imagine how small the small size would be. That said, I enjoyed the food, found the prices reasonable, and I do plan to return.”
