1978 East Front Street, LoganThis was my first time going to this vet and will absolutely be back. The communication between staff and the vet was wonderful, if you’re working on a budget, they will work with you which is such a relief after not having the greatest experiences at a local clinic. Taking your animals to the vet can be scary and expensive but I truly had such a great experience here & very much worth the drive for me!

Logan Animal Clinic
161 Iron Street, LoganI have been to at least a half dozen vets looking to establish care for my girl that just turned 7. She was hit by a truck four years ago and has severe OA. every vet I have been to said there’s not much we can do - but here’s some pain meds that will eventually shut her organs down. I decided to switch vets yet again in hopes they may have a better solution. They started her on an arthritis injection that does not harm her organs, there’s essentially no major risks involved and supplements to help the OA. MY GIRL IS RUNNING AND PLAYING LIKE SHE USED TO! She’s playing with other dogs and having the time of her life. She has not felt this good in years and I am so happy I found this vet. If you’re looking for a modern day approach to vet care and a staff that genuinely cares, this is the place. I have been told by multiple vets that there was no help to relieve the pain. Just look at this pretty girl can jump and play now!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Hocking Hills Inn & Coffee Emporium
13984 OH-664 Scenic, LoganWe stopped at Hocking Hills Inn & Coffee Emporium multiple times during our Hocking Hills hiking trip in 2024, and I still think about this little coffee shop. We did not stay at the inn, so this review is specifically for the coffee shop and food.
The coffee was genuinely excellent, enough that after the trip I continued ordering the espresso beans they use, Dirty Girl Coffee, for a couple of years. Dirty Girl Coffee is a small-batch Ohio roaster with a social mission focused on women’s economic progress in Appalachia. That made discovering their coffee here even more memorable for me.
We also came back for food more than once, which probably says enough on its own. After spending the day hiking, it was such a cute, comfortable place to stop for a good espresso drink and something to eat.
We’re not in southeastern Ohio very often, but Hocking Hills makes a great long-weekend getaway, and if we ever make it back, this will absolutely be on the list again. It’s been a couple of years and I still remember it fondly, which is probably one of the better compliments I can give a coffee shop.

Cristy's Pizza Logan
1320 W Hunter St, LoganOur food was anazing. Got a cheese, a hot honey pep, and buffalo ranch pizza and chicken bites. We couldnt stop eating it was all so good. The chicken bites were whatever but what can you expect. The other popular place pizza crossing didnt look like our kind of pizza - thick with toppings piled mile high so we tried this place and no regrets. I’d definitely order again.
That being said, I saw most of the bad reviews recently were from doordash related problems which is pretty absurd. You’re expecting 5 star doordash service in HOCKING HILLS and then somehow blaming the restaurant? Get a grip.

30402 Freeman Rd, LoganOur service was awesome - we were in for a birthday celebration and our waiter took good care of us. The pizza was delicious. For being a winery, was kid friendly too. We loved the live music on the patio!

Capt. Ron's Pirate Pizza
16757 OH-664 S, LoganFirst of all, the theming?? Insane!! Picture this, you're in the middle of Ohio craving some pizza and you come across a pirate captain named Ron? Our interest was piqued to say the least. 1. Our pizza was half pepperoni half supreme. Be PREPARED for crazy amounts of banana peppers. I used to hate them but maybe my taste buds are changing because it kinda rocked my world. Don't expect the vegetables to be cooked - in Ron's kitchen they like them crunchy I guess. 2. We ordered breadsticks but the employees might have been confused because we left that establishment with breadsticks and a special surprise... 2a. The breadsticks were breadsticks. Cheesy, garlicky, hitting the spot. 2b. HOT DOG BUNS as garlic bread we are guessing?? Clarify with Ron's first mates so you don't end up with hot dog buns, unless that's your thing in which case have at it.

Brewery 33 Hocking Hills, LLC
12684 College Prospect Drive, LoganHad two great visits to this venue while we were camping across the street. Rode our golf cart over and enjoyed the outdoor area. Inside area is very small with just a bar and a few tables, but if the weather is nice and you can sit outside, it's a great atmosphere. Bar service was pretty quick but not overly friendly (not bad, just no fluff). Lots of tables, some outdoor games like corn hole and connect four and they had live music on Saturday afternoon. Loved the pickle beer but the wine slushies were the best - soooo good and refreshing for summer (I believe they only have these in the summer). Their outdoor area is dog friendly which was another plus. We will definitely be back and loved having this close by.

Millstone Southern Smoked BBQ
12790 Grey Street, LoganWalked across the parking to this restaurant when we were faced with a 25 minute wait Hungry Buffalo, we were very pleasantly surprised by everything during our experience. The food was great. The service was wonderful (Bridget was super friendly and kind) and the atmosphere was pleasant. Will definitely add this to our books to visit again when we are in the area.

12762 Grey St, LoganReally enjoyed this place! We sat out on the patio and loved that it’s pet-friendly, so we were able to bring our dogs along. The food was really good, the drinks were great, and everyone was so friendly.
They even made our fur kids a side of chicken❤ Definitely a nice spot to relax, enjoy some good food and drinks, and we’ll definitely be back!
