Pet Care

Bigger Road Veterinary Center
718 N Main St, SpringboroWe had our first visit at Bigger Road Veterinary Center on Friday. Our bully had a very infected wound on his face. Dr. Vincent and her technicians were hands down the best veterinary team I have ever encountered. I have had dogs my entire life and this is the best experience I have ever had. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped through the front door. Not only was our boy given the best care but we were also. The environment and care at Bigger Road Veterinary Center was welcoming, homey, calming, and meticulously clean as well. I am so happy to have finally found a wonderful veterinary clinic for my fur babies.

Animal Medical Center of Springboro
912 W Central Ave, SpringboroThis is a great place! We recently got our newest family member and she was very sick. They fit us in on the same day. The front staff was very friendly and helpful and the technicians and Dr. Walsh were awesome! Our puppy is doing much better now. Their prices are very affordable. I highly recommend!

Springboro Veterinary Hospital and Urgent Care.
75 W Central Ave, Springboro5 stars without a doubt!!
First of all the ease of which it is to make an appointment is wonderful! It is also very nice that the receptionist tells you upfront what your office visit will cost for after hours.
It helps to make an informed decision. I felt that the cost was worth my worry, and I was right!
Secondly, the Dr my pet and I saw was without a doubt one of the most caring and knowledgeable vets I've ever had.
Dr. Leah Scholz was extremely patient, kind and explained things in a way I did not feel rushed or hurried. She answered all of my questions, even the ones I thought silly, and made me feel so prepared for the treatment I needed to give my pet. She treated my pet like her own. I now have a new vet, and feel so confident about her care.

Pet Sitting & Training

Homeland K-9 Dog Training Academy
Rear Building, 515 S Main St, SpringboroAll around an amazing experience with Mike! Mike will tell you how it is and not sugar coat anything which I respect and loved about the training. Brought my cattle dog in for puppy training and had a great time and learned a ton. Huge difference in my dog from the start to now. He’s still a puppy but a puppy that understands commands and rewards. I would suggest Mike and this business to anyone looking to have their dog trained. Can’t wait to eventually start the next level training sessions! 11/10.

Crooked Handle Brewing Co.
760 N Main St, SpringboroStopped into Crooked Handle Brewing Co. for lunch, and it did not disappoint! The place has a great atmosphere, and our server Katie made some awesome suggestions. My wife loved her Spicy Mule, and we shared a "Half Nacho" that definitely looked more like a Full Nacho (no complaints here!). She also had smoked wings, and our 16-year-old devoured the leftovers at home. I had boneless parmesan garlic wings, and they were fantastic. Excellent food, drinks, and service -- we'll definitely be back!

La Comedia Dinner Theatre
765 W Central Ave, SpringboroI've always loved La Comedia; We've been to so many shows, I lost count long ago! This was my first brunch show, however, and it was quite different than I'm used to.
The atmosphere was somewhat disrupted by people in attendance that are unfamiliar with theater etiquette, which was disappointing but not the staff's fault. The service was still fantastic. The server usually gets the food for my mom bcz she's paraplegic and (obviously) uses a wheelchair; someone saw this and made the server fo down and get their food, too, even though they could walk just fine. That's NEVER happened before. It was very sickening to me.
Moving on.
The food was good, and also different than evening shows due to the breakfast options. They do a great job with the buffet food, always.
I'm not sure if the salad was different bcz of the time of day, or bcz of new ownership, but the cantaloupe was replaced by mandarin oranges...not a good change imo. Seems catered to the same type of people who lack respect for etiquette, who chat away while the host is speaking and constantly open the exit door during the play. The applause was weak through the entire show, even though the cast was phenomenal (I laughed AND cried!).
Anyway. Changes.
So, there was no cracker basket with their famous cheese on the table, and again I don't know if that's due to the daytime show or different ownership. They DO still sell their housemade cheese and their chutney dressing, thank goodness!
I don't think I'll attend a brunch show again, but it's nothing to do with the staff or company. Thank you, La Comedia for bringing the dinner theater experience to the Dayton area!
