“The food was done to perfection meat was so juicy and tend tender and the kefta was amazing the only down fall was no garlic sauce but no big deal I would order again just not as much next time hahahahahaha....I recommend this place to all top notch service food and staff”

“The store was clean and the shelves pretty well stocked. They have a decent selection of grocery items with some lesser-known brands. We gambled on a few today and shall see. The cashier lanes were moving efficiently. The quarter for a cart thing is still weird to me and I left mine in the cart like always. I struggled between and 3 and 4 stars for the rating, but gave them the benefit of the doubt this time.”

I walked in about two weeks ago looking for healthier, whole-grain breads and now I am absolutely hooked. Granted, I might need come out of retirement to take on a full-time job if I want to walk out with more than two or three bags per visit, but the quality makes it completely worth it. My part-time job isn't making it!”
“Yarlu African Market was the best! From the minute I walked in I knew it was authentic by the smell of West African goods. There were plantain chips and chin chin on the shelf that looked oh so appetizing I grabbed a bag of each. Some of my favorite cereal was there, it comes in a big bag only so I didn't get it this time but for sure next time I visit. I got some soymilk that was really good and satisfied my thirst when breaking my fast for Ramadan. Miss Yarlu was the perfect host and clerk, her West African hospitality was felt in every kind word. The store had very good lighting as well as the temperature being perfect. If you’re looking to support a woman-owned business in Toledo, Ohio, please go visit this one.”

“I lived in Toledo from 1994 to 1999 right on Erie Street as a kid. My folks would send us down to Mike's with a dallar each and we felt like we hit the jackpot each time! Good to see Mike's still up and running throughout the recessions and pandemics. When I move to Michigan I am definitely gonna come visit the old neighborhood, Mike's included. “A historic east side establishment, and for us teenagers growing up on the east side in the 90's know and love this spot and their daughter hasn't skipped a beat. Barbacoa,corn tortilla w/ pico and salsa verde on a Sunday morning with eggs and chorizo and you have died and went to heaven. Thank me later.”
“Love this carry out. Masks required and also family friendly. A safe establishment divider is there space between clerk and customer. They have milk and small food items candy drinks for foods and adults random items as well for kids and adults. Good deals good service. I go to this carry out almost everyday. Good for on the go in the area or even for different gifts no one would really buy or find there. Things go quick. But they always get more items reasonably priced cant complain a bit.”
