“We have been going to Columbia Auto ever since we moved to Waterloo. Then we discovered that Columbia Auto had expanded to include Lexington Auto, and that Scott headed the team there (I remember Scott well from when he was at Columbia). We are so impressed with the Lexington shop. Like Columbia, they embrace the values of customer service, timeliness, quality work, and going the extra mile to help you out. I've absolutely shown up out of the blue and said "Scott, can you help me? The car needs the following..." and he has always been accommodating and helpful (although I know he'd probably prefer if everyone just made an appointment so that he can manage the day!). The Lexington location is a real gem, and I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who is searching for a really good independent mechanic. “I just got my car rust-proofed for $299 plus taxes (don't forget the 25$ CAD coupon on their website if you want a discount)My initial impressions of Houghton Rust Control are positive. It is operated by a very friendly family who has been doing this for a very very long time.They are very transparent and upfront about their charges, process and how it is all going to go.The rust proofing execution itself was seamless. It is like a Tim Hortons Drive thru. They guide you through the process and you do not have to get out of your car which is really convenient. The whole process took 15-20 minutes including drilling the holes and spraying oil in the frame and under it.Everything went well until I was exiting the building.I absolutely did not like the exit : It was VERY WET MUDDY DIRT ROAD albeit only 5 - 7 metres or so. Mud stuck to the car fenders and underneath. It is not a big deal but if you have a new car it just doesn't leave a good taste in your mouth.Will be coming back for another spray next year and will update the review then if it is fixed.”

They are always conscious of cost and will tell me when a repair is not crucial or if we can do a patch job for now. Many times I’ve had to just drop my car there after hours unexpectedly due to some issue and they always get it back up and running the next day. Quick honest service. What more could you want??”
