“It's a Dollarama. Has a lot of cheap stuff... stuff you may need, lots you can probably live without.
There's a long aisle of food, cheap dishes, cutlery, kitchen stuff. Party supplies, craft supplies. Candy, chocolates.
If you're lucky, there will be more than 1 person on cash. Today, there were actually 3! So the long line went fairly quickly.”

“Dollar For You is great. It’s right in Cabbagetown, just a few doors down from Dollarama, and the prices are basically the same — but the selection is better in a lot of ways.
This is where I go for hardware stuff especially. They carry practical, everyday items that Dollarama doesn’t always have, and it’s laid out in a way that actually makes sense when you’re looking for something specific. They also sell basic clothing items, which is a huge plus — especially in winter. Their selection of hats, scarves, and gloves is noticeably better, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need without overthinking it.
What really makes it a no-brainer for me is that it’s a small business, run by real people, not a big corporation. You feel that immediately. It’s functional, honest, and focused on serving the neighborhood rather than pushing a brand or upselling nonsense.
Same prices. More useful items. Local ownership.
For me, that’s an easy choice.”

“I like this Dollarama store. This Dollarama store is good vs bad ??. I came to this store to buy a few things. As soon I went to the self checkout machine by the other side of the entrance I am being questioned by this Indian girl if I am buying my items. Of course I am came to this store to buy not to steal.. The new employees needs to learn the difference between look at product vs buy.. Then the manager who I wanted to know is an Asian woman... Wow ?. Most people don't have any money nearly the end of the month..”

“Nice store. They don't really have alot of marketing for the store and it's definitely not the first dollar store that would come to your mind to buy your knick knacks. I only visited because I was in the area. Otherwise I would have went elsewhere. Glad I went here. The staff working there had a great chat with us and they were very friendly and polite.”
“This store is honestly my favorite. Three days ago, I went in to buy a screwdriver, but unfortunately, it was out of stock. I’m really thankful to Dilan, who tried her best to help me. She even went to the backroom to look for the item, and when she couldn’t find it, she kindly showed me some alternative products and explained them to me. Friendly and helpful service is the most important thing I look for as a customer, and I definitely found it here. This Dollarama location will always be my first choice!”

“It's very big, has planting stuff and summer stuff and baking stuff, but if you're coming with a kid for toys, try not to come to this dollarama because the toys section is small, sometimes items are overpriced, ignoring workers, but overall it's okay.”

“The staff at this location, including the security team, are lovely and always super helpful. I put my cell phone down to grab something off a shelf and left the store without it. I got back to the office before realizing I no longer had it. They all sprang into action and helped turn what would have been a very awful day into a great one.”
“its always fun to go to Dollarama to buy one item for 2 dollars and than you come out with 4 bags full wortg $150. I always get into this pleasant trap. But it helps especially those who cannot afford to buy so many things in other stores during these difficult times when prices have sky rocketed.”

“Very well located Dollarama branch, nearby Yorkdale shopping center, and a few Bus stops away from Wilson Subway Station with the Dufferin Buses - 29 & 929 Express.
Very spacious and one of the larger branches for this store, so you’ll be able to find everything needed there. Would be great if they can add discounts and sales, or even a rewards program for frequent customers!”
“I only bought a reusable bag there, the cashier was really friendly!
The only complaint is I had a hard time finding this place, but this might be caused by the design of this building. It had a really complicated elevator system. Some elevator only goes to certain level, and there wasn't enough signage to lead the way.”
“I mean, it was pretty alright until they stopped stocking the 80¢ brisk in favor of the blank bottles of a thick red substance without a price tag. I tried to buy one but when I asked how much money it was the cashier laughed and stuck out their lizard tongue before whispering to me the ancient secrets of a long dead world.
Anyway, I drank the bottle and it tasted a bit metallic, but otherwise it was okay. If Dollarama staff could maybe tell the gathered crowd staring at me from outside my bedroom window to go away that would make me rather happy.
The bottle of blood was pretty nice but I'd like the Brisk back if you don't mind.”

“This Dollarama is very well located at the corner of Spadina and Adelaide Street. I visited on a Tuesday afternoon, and the store was not crowded, which made shopping very pleasant. It was easy to move around the aisles, and there was hardly any wait at the checkout.
The store was clean, well-organized, and well-stocked. One area for improvement, however, was the lack of pricing on a product I was interested in, it had no visible price tag, so I had to ask a staff member for assistance. It would be helpful if the staff could regularly check that all products are clearly labeled with prices. Other than that, the employees were friendly and helpful.
Overall, this is a convenient and affordable spot to shop, just make sure to double-check the quality of the items before purchasing to avoid any surprises later.”

“Great experience with staff that used common sense in customer service. I asked one of the staff member where the matches were, she told me they were by the checkout counters. Lineup was long, when I reached the checkout counter, they only had the lighters there, the matches were in aisle 4 I was told. I went back picked up the matches, and reluctantly lined up again. The same lady found me immediately, acknowledged her mistake, and checked me out without having to lineup again. Small gestures like these in customer service are awesome !!”
“A fine location in and of itself, organized, etc. but why does Dollarama outright stop selling flip-flops/Focs (fake Crocs. Not swearing ?) come Autumn? People swim, y'know! All three locations I guess mandated by corporate switch over seasonal gear without any flip-flops available! Not the biggest deal and I suppose I'll pick up more pairs than I have feet come the spring.”
“I had a great experience at Dollar Tree. The workers were very respectful and kind, especially Rafia. Rafia was extremely polite, helpful, and patient, which made my visit much better. “I bought an item from the Young and Lawrence Dollarama but it was damaged and not working and it also opened at 9:00am so I came to the ok be on Bayview and Millwood to exchange the item. I was told that I had to take it to the store that I bought the item by a very friendly staff member and then she told me to speak with the manager. The manager came and stated the same thing but she allowed me to exchange it at the store this one time. Super thankful because the other Dollarama didn't open until 9:00am and it's cold outside to wait an hour. Thank you ?”
