“A gem literally in my backyard. Great selection of quality fresh local meats, dairy & produce and they have an amazing homemade & hot food counter which they create daily for those who are busy and don’t want ‘fast food’ Fresh local breads as well as in store bakery & definitely the BEST STAFF of happy smiling friendly folks.

“I went to this petrol station after my son was stung couple of times by bees from the Shand dam area. The attendant on seeing my child was on pain went and got an older gentleman who helped him with an ice pack and even consulted a doctor who was passing through at that time to help. They both went above and beyond to help me and my child who was in pain. I really appreciate the help and support provided by both the gentlemen. In my rush I might not have thanked them enough. Thank you both for such wonderful assistance.”
“If you or someone in your family have food allergies, this is the place to go. They have great tasting options and a wide variety of special treats. Not to mention friendly and knowledgeable staff. You have the option to have your orders delivered (for a fee) or pick up in store.”

“It has been a pleasant shopping experience here so far, with the exception of a couple of instances where certain products were overcharged assuming it was a different variety/type, but this was resolved by the store supervisor/manager. The store has limited cashiers, so it would be nice if there were self-checkout registers available at all times.”
“This is one of the more expensive grocery stores in Elmira. The quality is pretty good and it is very clean. Most of the staff is very friendly which is a plus! You always see the same faces which is so nice.
They do however, need to post the hours of some of the service departments. For instance, I have my child’s soccer until 7:30 pm. They close at 9, and if you go anytime after 8, there’s no one at the deli or bakery counter able to help which is incredibly inconvenient for busy families. It should be posted somewhere that departments requiring service close earlier than the store itself. It’s getting ridiculous being your only option for sliced deli meat in town.”
“Huge store, has verity of products. Big and well organized space. The only disappointment was cake/cupcake area. So messy. Why? I would be disgusted to buy sweets there.”
“Nice store with well stocked shelves. Always seems to be clean. I prefer No Frills, which price matches. The location of Food Basics is great with Dollarama, Tim Hortons, Value Village, and more close by.”

“I would highly recommend Dar's Country Market. We shop there often and always have a positive experience there. They cary a wide range of local meats, baked goods, spices and fresh produce.
They have some gluten free and vegan options as well. Dar and her staff are amazing and are happy to answer any questions you may have. The quality of their products is outstanding and we are never left disappointed.
My personal favourites are the prime rib burgers and their homemade salmon dip.
If you find yourself in Elora, definitely find your way to Dar's Country Market. You will not be disappointed.”
