“My wife bought me some very expensive “Darn Tough” socks here last year. They told her that if I ever wore them out, we could just drop into the store for a “no-hassle” exchange. These socks, she was told, are guaranteed forever.The other day, I brought in a pair that I’d worn out and they asked me to produce a sales receipt. I explained what my wife was told when she spent $35 on a single pair of these socks. Just come on in and we’ll exchange them.Apparently not.I asked the clerk if she could look to see if my wife was registered in their computer. I gave her our name, and yes, they found her file. But with no sales receipt, they told me they’d not honour the guarantee. That doesn’t sound like no-hassle to me.The manager didn’t even come out of her office. She just said, “Tell him to email the sock company directly, and see if I could to get them to look after me.Do not shop at Shoetopia, unless you don’t mind being lied to.*Update to this review*I called twice to speak to Pete, as I appreciated that he offered to make good on the promise that was made when our original purchase was made. Unfortunately, he wasn’t available either time that I called. Today, I dropped into the Fergus Shoetopia location, and I exchanged my worn-out socks, for two pairs of new Darn Tough socks. I really like the socks, and I am now satisfied that my business actually matters to Pete and his staff. Thanks to Pete.”

“I was with my sister back in Oct of this year when she bought a pair of summer shoes and winter boots. It took a number of times trying on the shoes and winter boots until the proper size was found. Quality of the merchandise is excellent. Without a doubt, the store manager did a wonder job in finding the right pair. Would recommend this store to anyone looking for a pair of boots or shoes????”
