“I heard of this store from a friend who lives in Orleans, he spoke highly about this place, I decided to stop by it this afternoon. It's a cozy small cafe and market, I believe it is the only Turkish market in the east end of Ottawa. They have a wide range of authentic Turkish products, from rice to coffee maker. I bought a can of Turkish coffee, I'll make it on the stove. I talked with the owners, they are genuinely nice people, and offered me a cup of welcoming coffee. Wish them prosperous”
“Have purchased there before. Service great. Chicken Korma was a success. Did need to add a bit if my own vegetables. The sauce not too spicy and did taste really good.”
“Lots of unique products under their own brand name, from salad dressings to home style soups. All usually very good quality products. One of the few grocery stores left with a proper butcher shop. And the only place in town i can still buy Rideau Bakery's famous rye bread. This location is smaller then others but still very manageable. What's not is their parking lot being on the crowded side and the store entrance being awkwardly located in front of one of the main entrances to the plaza is a challenge for walking back to your car. Brings bags from home as this is another business that is overcharging for bags.”
“We love shopping at Farmboy, especially for the amazing produce, choice of meats and home brand products. The hot plate, sushi and baked goods are always so tempting that we usually grab a bite before leaving! The coffee is really good too!”

“Updated May 2023Overall, this is a great place to buy bulk food items, get cake decorating supplies, spiced, health foods, and supplements. There are often coupons available: $3 off per $15, or $5 off per $20. Wednesday is 10% off for Seniors (65+) and Students. You do have to know your prices, as not everything is cheaper than the grocery stores. But that is with any store. However, if you bundle your purchases with the $3 or $5 off coupons, the cost is usually still lower than the grocery stores.Sundays are Sustainable Sundays, and you get 15% off REGULAR priced items. You need to bring a clean reusable container, and have it weighed before using it.”

Thursday's seam to be the best day to go as they are fully stocked with all the new sweet eats.Customer service is amazing, I got the pleasure of talking to sarah the sales lady and she was very nice and wonderful. Answered my question with a smile. It's a nice change of pace from the hussle and bussle of walmart or the big chain stores.Price is higher but quality is there.”

The food from the hot meal bar is always good, and decently priced! The price was 4.99 for 3 chicken tenders with a side of wedges!”

“BLACKBURN HAMLET ON This is my Metro of choice because of distance, friendly staff , meat dept and choices. some improvement in cleaniness of the outside of the Plaza, as of Fall2025. Thank you as great cashiers; cheerful and helpful. Store owner should consider providing paper bags (for fee) for those who forget their shopping bag, they are more sustainable than plastic. thank you!”

“I went there today and I find the staff very friendly towards me. I was really impressed by the young gentlemen that works I assume as a stock boy (man). I was going to roll the cart all the way to my car but he offered to put carry my groceries all the way to the trunk of my car. Talk about being curtious! ?”
