“I wouldn't normally write a review for a big box store, but the folks at Homesense on Merivale really deserve some accolades. I was there today to do a return and some shopping and was impressed by the great selection of products and the level of service. There was a kind woman out on the floor who offered a couple of times to help me find what I was looking for, and the cashier (for both the return and purchases) was both friendly and courteous. In these days of online shopping, I think it's key that bricks-and-mortar stores go the extra mile to create a great in-person experience, and Homesense on Merivale does just that.”
“The sweetest staff, they’re so lovely to chat with about the gems you’re finding in the store and always so kind to the customers. I find this is like a hidden gem location as well, it seems to be not as well known and I ALWAYS find something. Always clean, well stocked and well merchandised. Lovely store and staff.”
“It's a mildly disorganised dollar store full of treasures. The kicker is you can still find stuff for a buck there! Always go to dollar tree over Dollarama.”
“The staff were super nice and always had a smile when helping me. The place was also very clean and organized. By far the best place to do my Christmas shopping!”
“I can't thank Ravinder enough for all her support. She helps me every single time with so much patience and deep knowledge. I especially appreciate her honesty. gives genuine, fantastic advice rather than just telling you what you want to hear. Thank you so much”
“Lots of variety, even some hot-ticket items that my granddaughters are looking for like Baby Phat, Van Doutche, and Juicy Culture track suits.
My grandson loved the Mountain Dew slippers especially, and the Flaming Hot Cheetos Crocs (but they were all too big for his feet unfortunately).
I liked their Halloween decor, I should have taken more pictures of it but I was too busy shopping so I forgot!
It also seems to be a good time of year for clearance, lots of beauty products were on sale. My granddaughter got a perfume spray for just $5.”
“Called the store on a Saturday afternoon looking for car tires and talked to an associate named Chris Wilson and this gentleman went out of his way over the phone to be helpful and informative. Exceptional customer care service. I actually called three other Canadian Tire stores in the area while shopping for tires and this individual was head and shoulders above everyone else in helpfulness. I have shopped at this Canadian Tire location in the past and if you want a customer friendly /no-sense environment where the staff are there to help you, this is the place to shop!”
“HUGE WALMART, huge grocery section which is restocked daily! Friendly greeting staff as well. No matter what I need walmart has become my new go to place, they've only really not had a few items ive needed (vegan margarine, big canvases, candle wicks) Every isle has a wide selection except cats & books, but still this super store is just that! Its massive!!! The convenience & size is why It gets 4 stars and my realization that they dont delivery is why that 5th star stays with me! So what if I dont drive I cant buy big furniture ? I was told to go online for my two large wardrobes but when I did the site said it was too large to deliver... What? Lol!!! So i got someone with a truck to help me, someone helped bring it outside but didnt help lift it up into the truck which I found rude. The elevator outside is also always broken, which is also on bayshore but none the less enjoy walking down 8 flights of stairs with a million bags!”
“Andrew in the auto section provided exceptional assistance with my winter tires. He was super helpful, caring, and took the time and patiently explained and answered all my questions.”
“The store is well stocked and you can't beat the price if you wait for a sale. Currently in the process of building an addition to increase the size of the store.”
