“This is a store my wife and I love to browse in. The staff is always working hard to keep customers interested in the different things they have for purchase. We frequent this store a least 2 times a week. We never know what we will see , sometimes my wife finds something interesting and other times it's me that finds a good purchase. Great staff.”

“The associate Ahmed was very helpful.

I asked Ahmed what happened to this Sears Canada location, but he informed me that Sears Canada closed down in 2018 and Winners later moved into the second level. I asked if Winners would ever takeover the first level of this former Sears Canada location as well, but he was not unsure and said it would be unlikely.

To TJX please train your employees to be as knowledgeable and helpful like Ahmed!”

“⭐ 1 Star – Unprofessional and Escalated Conduct

During a recent visit for a safety inspection, I was speaking with one staff member and asking a safety-related question.

Another mechanic, who appeared to hold a supervisory role, interrupted the interaction and made an unsolicited assumption that the inspection was “for Uber.” I calmly asked, “How do you know?” and stated that I would appreciate continuing my conversation with the person I was already speaking to.

Instead of de-escalating the situation, he became argumentative and rude.

Two additional staff members stood behind him and verbally supported his position rather than helping to professionally manage or calm the interaction.

Making assumptions about customers, interrupting active conversations, and escalating into argumentative behavior is not acceptable conduct — especially in a safety-related service environment where professionalism and trust are essential.

For a national company like Canadian Tire, frontline conduct directly impacts brand reputation and customer confidence. This interaction does not reflect the standards one would expect from an organization of this scale.

That said, I would like to acknowledge and thank the store manager who stepped in. He listened carefully to my concerns and handled the situation professionally by speaking directly with the mechanic. As someone who has held professional positions myself, I recognize and appreciate competent leadership and calm management under pressure. His response was appropriate and professional.

I trust this incident will be reviewed seriously to ensure alignment with corporate standards.

Thank you Adrien”

“You can get your passport pictures there at a good price.

Edit: I see that some people complained of their service. I've only ever had gpod encounters with their employees. They may be a bit short staffed, but they're always ready to help you.

I also enjoy looking through their clearance sales, they have some nice things esp for young kids.”
