“If I could give 10 stars I would, this place is frequented by those in the neighbourhood, university students, and anyone stopping through the area. The staff is really friendly, helpful, and when I didn’t have a mask during the provincial mandate I asked a friend to step inside and buy one for me. They gave me a reusable one on the house and wouldn’t accept my money for it. Even now I have it still. The last few times I’ve been in, friendly service, good product selection, and overall a nice shop in the heart of Sunnyside. Definitely worth going if you need anything from the local store.”

“I love old school convenience stores. The more retro, the more I love it. Silver City Food Market is one of those stores. In the back it looks like a regular convenience store, but there's a food counter at the front and wooden shelving that looks very 1970s, maybe even earlier? Lol. The owner told me they just took over the store, so there has been a recent change in ownership (as of September 2023). I got some samosas. I asked if they had any baked ones, but unfortunately they only had fried ones. Nonetheless, I got a beef and a chicken ($2.50 each). They were both tasty, but I preferred the chicken. The owner said he also likes the chicken ones more, haha. The chicken samosa has chopped up chicken, peas, onions and spices. The beef samosa has ground beef, peas, onions and spices. I found the beef samosa a bit too salty. The chicken one was perfect. The dough wasn't too thick, but it was a bit greasy. I would have preferred baked ones ;) They also sell Biryani for $20 a container. They also sell pizza. They had a sign on the side of the store that a slice of pizza and a drink was $4.99. I'll need to check this out sometime. The owner said that they will be selling sandwiches soon as well. I feel like this place has a lot of potential. And the owners are so nice. I'm hoping they do well.”

“This was my first visit. Excellent shop with lots of great importeded food and snacks in a small market area. They also have a restaurant with a variety of food items. Didn't order any food this visit, but I hope to try their menu on my next visit to Ottawa.”
“Ely owner friendly. Help with Credit if short. Anne (wife) not super friendly. Too many druggies hang out infront of store, especially in the adjoining phone booth. Smoke crack infront of everyone and especially children. Empty pipe cracks litter the neighborhood. Safe Injection site next block seems to attract low life people.”

“This is my favourite Circle K ever! They are well stocked and the lady working there is super nice, like the nicest Circle K person I have ever come across. “Used to love going here every night for snacks and other items the staff are very friendly the evening/ overnight guy is really awesome. They are very clean and very well stocked on regular items they have and always fresh perked coffee for on the go, they occasionally will have really good promotions or the odd funky item for a corner store. If you need something in the area I would recommend this quickie.”

“I went here for the first time today. I have to say it looks absolutely magical, to me anyways. Mostly from nostalgia and my love of Tim Hortons. I didn’t actually go to the Tim Hortons inside the store though. I got a froster and a f’real milkshake.When I saw the frosters sign on the store, I almost felt like I could cry tears of joy. You see, the Mac’s Milk near my home in Barrhaven shut down about a year ago. That made me pretty sad because I have so many memories of it. It was one of the first places I would walk alone to as a child. I’d go and get frosters with my friends and family. It was a big part of my childhood, which is why it was sad to see it go.So when I drove up to this Mac’s less than an hour ago hoping to find something to drink and I saw they had frosters, I was ecstatic! But I was shocked when I went inside and actually saw their frosters station. To my surprise, all of the froster machines were working! The Mac’s near my house usually only ever had one or two of their four machines working. Not only were all their machines working at this newfound location though, they also have eight of them!My opinion of this Mac’s only got even better because I saw that, on top of the froster station (which is incredible enough as is), they have a fountain drink station and a f’real milkshake station! There’s even an ATM in the corner!The store was very clean, and everything looked all stocked up. I didn’t see a single thing that was out-of-order in the store.The man at the cash was very nice and polite as well, although I didn’t talk to him much.”

“I purchased a standard tier wash because I know most automotive car washes don't do a great job of removing all the extra wax that comes with the premium wash. Note: I also choose the toutchless wash because it doesn’t hurt the paint.It did a great job of removing all of the corrosive salt that comes from ottawa roads. I'd suggest the toutchless option if you want a clean wash and don't need a deep clean from driving on dirt packed roads.”
