“Best service EVER! My mother wanted to buy me a ring for my upcoming 50th. She has a limited budget. We went to 2 stores prior to Lavigueur. At the other 2 stores once the sales person knew our limited budget, we received horrible service. Even my 15 year old son noticed the change in the sales people. We were less than impress until we walked in at Lavigueur in the St Laurent shopping centre in Ottawa. Again best service ever!!!! Not once did we feel we didn’t belong, like the other 2 stores. They were warm, inviting and knowledgeable. If and when I ever need to purchase any jewelry you can bet I’m going there. Thank you again to the staff at Lavigueur as you will never truly know what your incredible service meant to my mom and me. You knew somehow this ring meant a lot to my mom, even thought it doesn’t have a large cash value. “Great jewelry store . I’m from toronto and discovered the magpie stores while in Ottawa. my wife and 2 girls gave up on the “toronto /me too /pandora scene so I checked out magpie . Excellent “unique” selection of charms, bracelets necklaces …unique artists and silver gold and /or precious stones. Over the years discovered Gemologist Martin Wright does excellent customized diamond work . My sister lost the stone from her engagement ring and Martin found her a beautiful replacement . My daughter and her fiancée are now getting her engagement ring done with him. Beautiful ring and value exceeds price . Check out their website ..whenever I’m in town pick up my birthday and holiday gifts here. Again ..all unique and interesting!!”

“Great store. They sell plated gold and silver products for a very reasonable price ($40-60/piece). The lady showed me around and helped me choose the prices of jewelry that fitted me. She even gave me $10 off. HOWEVER, I really recommend looking closely at the prices of jewelry before buying, the product I chose to buy had a defect, and the lady offered me to look at the other ones, out of the 5 I looked at 4 had defects. If your looking for high quality and reliability stay away from this place. They sell very low quality products here.”

They did this in just 5 days! Dorothy was amazing to deal with and reassured me multiple times. Our family has bought gold chains and had numerous necklaces and rings resized or altered. Phong is a very skilled craftsman and always takes the time to understand what we wish him to do. He gives great advice about our jewellery and whether or not it requires repair. He is totally honest and our repairs have always been on time. I would recommend him 100 %.”
