They have really upped their game in home made charcuterie and sausages beyond the last visit.It's small but it really is Sanagan's with a good array of their charcuterie which I am quite fond of. Their meat display is actually in the storefront window so you really can window shop! A clever use of space”

“I've been many times, bought maybe 50lb of beef and 50lb of chicken total - quality has been very good, more consistent than grocery stores.They will vacuum seal meat for free on request, which is great for a sous vide brisket, ribs, or steak.”

“I have been going to the Meat Dept. for many years now ever since I first went to their Danforth location. Yes there are a few butchers close to where I live, but I always go back to the MD. From the rock and roll always playing, to the friendly staff, it has never let us down. Also, the meat is top quality and seems on par with what it should cost for what you get. The kids have grown up with me going to MD and always know to look for the circle sign with the cleaver on it when on Roncy. We did our annual steak dinner for NYD and the steak was excellent as always. Thanks MD.”

“I was there last week looking to buy chicken legs and some salmon, and the Asian guy working there refused to serve me, he sent me to wait for the seafood guy who was with another customer, after 5 or so minutes it was my turn, he was super polite and knowledgeable . During our conversation I could hear the same Asian employee and another man around the same age start arguing and yelling at each other. I hope the owners put a stop to this, BTW the salmon was great”

Proper old-fashioned style butcher shop with friendly staff and high quality produce that is often cheaper than supermarkets. Bob was particularly helpful and carried my purchase to the door as I had my dog with me. 10/10 service.”

“I always start a soup with marrow bones. Farm Boys are ?. Used dark ale for tenderizing and depth of flavour. This is lentil, green pea and roasted veggies. Here are the bones after 8 hours in slow cooker. My brother asked if I was selling, I informed him first customer free so he placed his order. Thanks Farm Boy!”
