“I visited Royal Beef for the first time on Saturday, this was also my first time getting meat from a deli. The ladies were super nice and patient with me, they explained how the meat is cut and weighed. I got the roast beef which turned out to be delicious.”

“I love the Kensington location. However, I live much closer to the Gerrard & Coxwell location, so this is the one I visit most often.
The quality of the meat and other products is excellent, and the selection is thoughtfully curated. My four star rating is based almost entirely on the customer service rather than the products themselves.
The staff could be friendlier and take customers’ questions more seriously. To be fair, on most visits it has seemed like there was some kind of issue or the staff were simply in a bad mood.
On two separate occasions, we arrived shortly before closing and were told we couldn’t be served, even though the store was still open. As a small business owner myself, I find that disappointing. In my view, you’re either open or you’re closed. Closing tasks should be done before or after business hours whenever possible, but customers who arrive during posted operating hours should still be welcomed and served.
The products are outstanding, and that’s what keeps me coming back. With a more welcoming attitude and a stronger focus on customer service, this location would easily earn five stars.”
“This has been my main grocery store/butcher for over a year now and it’s top tier. I used to work at a butcher shop and the quality for the price you get here is unmatched in the city outside of some spots in Markham and Scarborough. Everyone is kind, the facility is clean and properly staffed. No notes ?”
“I’ve been going there for over 20 years , food is amazing kabab, chicken… I sent probably over hundreds of people to the store through out the years and they are now regulars .BUT lately prices are high specially fresh meatU can’t put prices away higher that the other meat markets in the area !! The gents butchered these T-Bone steaks, trimmed and prepped them on my busy Saturday afternoon to order. Beautifully trimmed without excessive fat well worth the local butcher touch.

“It is a little bit difficult to find a chicken liver in Toronto. However, Macellaria Atlas has it. Moreover, the price is cheaper than in grocery stores, as No frils, Metro, etc.Friendly service here as well.”
“I've been to roast a few times and will offer this advice: Speak to the butcher. They are very knowledgeable about their products and give great recommendations. A couple times I've outlined an upcoming event, or asked for their advice on a dinner idea, and with their guidance always knocked it out of the park. Quality product and people.”

The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand my needs. They recommended stunning ribeye steaks and some flavourful flank steaks that wowed my guests.
The quality of the meat was outstanding - tender and fresh. They even shared cooking tips that helped me elevate the dishes. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, making the whole shopping experience enjoyable.

“This is my go-to neighbourhood butcher in the upper Forest Hill neighbourhood. They have really high quality meat and a decent fish selection. The butchers are super knowledgeable and helpful.
Note: this is a kosher grocery store, so they do not have any pork products or shellfish, but I haven't found myself missing any of these things!
They also seem to have a pretty expansive hot and cold deli which I haven't checked out, but it does look good.”

The sandwiches my partner and I had were probably the best we’ve ever had (him the jerk chicken and me the pulled pork). We sadly didn’t have a cooler bag otherwise we would’ve have bought more. “A great Farm Boy location with a wide selection of products. I also like that they offer many locally made items.
Besides groceries, there are some household and beauty products, a food court with ready to eat meals and seating areas, as well as flowers and greeting cards. A convenient place for shopping or a quick stop.”
