“I love plenty of goods and food that I can find it here, for example their beef Shawarma that reminds me of famous Iraqi Shawrma of (Qass El-Atshan).
Their fresh frequent Iraqi bread (khubz & samoun) is my preference.
Distinguished goods such as chips for example, deserts, soft drinks are attacking so much.
All other essential Iraqi cousin such as rice (Basmati and Ambar), tomato paste, vegetable oil, can be found there.”
“Yesterday my mother and I drove to Canada to have a mommy daughter day. We have not have real Jamaican products in a long time. Therefore we stop at Sunshine Grocers. Let me tell you my mom and I felt we were back home in Jamaica. I saw so many food I grew up eating and my mom so fruits she been looking for every times she travel places. She found many of them at this Grocery store. My mom wanted to take a case of different fruits back with us cross the border. But we didn't know the rule. The nice lady helped us by telephoning her son for us to speak with him to find out what was allowed to go back to Detroit. Thank you mam, that was really nice of you! This store will be fore sure our number one store when visiting Canada!”

“We purchased a seeded watermelon which was fantastic, best watermelon I've had since I came to Canada 20 years ago. We also purchased peaches which were also awesome. The lady and the gentleman who was there to help us with our purchases were so very polite and pleasant and it was a wonderful first time experience, I will definitely be going back!”

My only criticism being is that while samosas can taste great the hypocrisy is. eg not having any meat versions of samosas doesn't make it healthier because it is vegetarian there is still that trans fat factor ... I do however enjoy the nice selection of spices around the store aisles and it is much better priced than other big common grocery stores.”
“After being up all night with my husband doubled over in pain, I needed to go out to find him some medication. None of the pharmacies near us are 24 hours anymore, so I had to wait until morning. It was Christmas eve and the internet said that Sobeys opened at 6am, sooner than anyone else. I was so relieved. I got there shortly after they opened and grabbed what I needed. I thanked the cashier for being available to work so early in the morning, especially on Christmas eve. She happened to mention that they weren't not even supposed to be open until 7, but a mistake was made on Google so they opened an hour early. I told her my situation and how incredibly grateful I was that everyone was there and wished her a Merry Christmas. Thank you Sobeys for coming to my early morning rescue.”
