“A Beaverton landmark. This is such great place to get comic books. The toy selection is definitely geared towards adults, with an impressive selection of hot toys. The toys are somewhat pricey, so kids will struggle to find something to suit their tastes. Glad to find a place that carries Heroclix.”

“Exactly as advertised and more fun than I expected:) I'm 49 years old and my mom (72yrs) wanted to take me, my twin sister, her sister (71yrs) and childhood friend (72yrs) for a light-hearted bonding experience. Most of the theme specific clothes (i.e. Star Trek, Doctor Who, etc) r only available online which was a little disappointing but it also forced us to be creative to create our own unique outfits. The store can be overwhelming because everything is so cute and it's hard to pick the one critter or teddy bear that's going to be your buddy. However, just letting your inner-kid out and immersing yourself in the experience was fun. The staff were friendly, helpful, and didn't make us feel weird for being there. They explained each step and gave as much or as little guidance as requested. It's not a low cost excursion but it feels like u r getting a well-made unique product while creating a treasured memory. I will probably never do again for myself but would take young family members in the future:)”

I had my ears pierced at Claire’s when I was younger with my grandmother. Today we got my daughter’s done! They look great and I was able to save 40.00 by not going to her pediatric office. She picked out 5 pairs of earrings too. She did great and we are greatly pleased with the exceptional service provided by a Claire’s worker there. Wonderful! We will be dropping by again before Christmas that’s for sure! :)”

“Mad Max's Heroes & Hobbies was truly a great surprise when we were out visiting different shops on "May the 4th Be With You!" day yesterday!!! It was our last stop of the day and we ended up staying all the way until 11PM at night! Max the owner is a true hobby enthusiast who knows his stuff and has been in the business for decades. His shop reflects his years of experience as there were so many truly good finds from so many different areas of comic and toy history! We left with many treasures we were thrilled to add to our own collection. Take the time to look and share with Max what types of items you like to collect and he will help you find what you want! We were able to chat with Max for the majority of the time we visited his shop. It was awesome to hear the stories and background of each item as he took the time to help us find what we were wanting. Max will treat you fairly with his pricing as long as he knows you aren't trying to rip him off just to resell and flip his cherished items for your own profit. If you are looking for vintage comics, toys and action figures for your own collection, this is definitely the place to go!! Don't wait too long since it sounds like he might be closing soon so give Max a call and ensure he is there when you want to stop by. His shop is typically open in the evenings from Tuesday through Saturday but be sure to call especially if you are visiting from out of town. We will definitely be trying to make our own return trip to visit Mad Max's Heroes & Hobbies again in the very near future while we still can!!!”

“I came in here last sunday 4/13 to sell old ps3 games. I wasn’t sure they would take them since they are so old. They ended up buying 29 out of like 35 of my games and I was able to get a used joycon and a new switch game, so it was definitely worth it for a bunch of games that were just collecting dust. Pedro is who helped me out and honestly he was running that store. He was the only employee and while dealing with my transaction, the store became very busy. He stayed calm, professional, and kept everything moving. You could tell he really knew what he was doing. Super patient and helpful, I appreciate the great service”

“Took a trip to Portland for a Retro Game store marathon. Tapper’s was the best place I visited. Tons of great games, reasonably priced, and great vibe. Store owner was super friendly and helpful. All games were in good condition and worked well. They even have friendly shop cat which is always a plus. Definitely will be back!”
