The Pet Works
240 14th St, AstoriaThis place is amazing. The staff are very friendly! That was my dog’s first time. it is self serve, he was getting a Bath in a public environment. He’s a year and a half husky mix. He acted like a fool. He was over excited that there was another dog in there. He would not stop barking, he jumped over the bathtub at one point and pulled the wooden crate with him that they have in the bathtub. I was so embarrassed, and One of the associates helped me prepare a different bath for him with higher walls on it. I was expecting them to ask me to leave any moment, but they didn’t. They were patient. They didn’t criticize me. They didn’t yell at my dog. In fact they gave him a treat to try to help him cool down. They clean up the bath after you, and you can tip them, so I did. I encourage other customers to tip the staff, Because they do prepare the baths for the next dog. thank you!

Brut Wine Bar and Bottle Shop
240 10th St, AstoriaI believe the owners name was Lisa? Anyways my first visit to this place was very nice. I went with the intention of having a glass of wine and a little snack to journal. Had 2 great glasses of Resiling and a nice assortment of olives, cheese, mini pickles etc. Lisa was very happy to offer me some tastings of the available wines. Super cool because sometimes trying something new doesn’t always work out so it was great to taste a lil before making a full decision. I recommend stopping by to try something new and even walk out with your own bottle for home.

Pilot House Distilling
1343 Duane St, AstoriaWe stop every time we are in Astoria and own everything they make. The AO Come Hell or High Water whiskey started my whiskey collection and we make it a point to be in town when the newest release comes out. Their cocktails are always top notch and the staff is amazing. Would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could.

Astoria Coffee Company
304 37th St, AstoriaWe visited from out of state and loved their coffee so much we returned to buy more before coming home. I just placed my first order online. This is a legit coffee shop owned and operated by people who know coffee and obviously care about what they do. I wish we lived nearby so we could visit in person. It’s a must visit if in Astoria and it’s a short walk to the very popular Goonies house.
