Brightwood Tavern
63010 E Brightwood Br Rd, BrightwoodThis hidden treasure is well worth getting off the beaten path to visit. We stumbled on it looking for breakfast and though it is definitely a tavern, if also serves a great breakfast. We had the Broghtwood Scramble and the waffle breakfast plate. Both were perfect. The scramble was huge. The atmosphere is definitely tavern and the locals are somewhat territorial but we felt welcomed. Give them a try and be sure to buy one of the hilariuos sweat shirts.

68224 US-26, WelchesLoved the espresso and the mto option for sandwiches. Really cute place. The one drawback is that there's not a ton of seating, but I came with a pretty big group, so that might not be a concern for smaller parties. For the size of our group the staff did amazingly.
