“We love HISSS! My 3 year old is obsessed with reptiles but we aren't in a place to be able to own one right now. Every couple of weeks we head over to HISSS so she can see the snakes and lizards. Everyone who works there is so nice and the reptiles are clearly very well loved and taken care of. If they aren't too busy, we sometimes get to hold a snake, which my kid absolutely loves. I've also been to snake yoga a couple times and love it. The teachers are fantastic and doing yoga with a snake is an extra kind of calming. When we are ready to be reptile owners, we will definitely be going to HISSS.”
“Fish seem to be well taken care of. I love how they provide free education on the nitrogen cycle and how to set up a tank!
Update 2026: Still a great place to get your community fish! 100% recommend and super friendly”
“Wonder puppy has helped our super shy and scared puppy to really blossom and be confident. We’ve done their social classes, calm focus 1, skills 1 and calm focus 2.
I have seen their methods consider the well being of the whole puppy, things that we may not know or think of.
Instructor Sam is our puppy Sundari’s most favorite person beyond our family! Casey, the owner is incredibly perceptive and can really go above and beyond to help with your training goals.
Even their free training and guiding resources on website are of incredible value. This is our puppy’s #1 favorite place in all of Portland :) I highly recommend!”

“I’ve been getting my blue heeler nails done here since they’ve opened. Christina has always been wonderful and so sweet! My dog loves her! Everyone there is so friendly. Highly recommend!”
“We LOVE the new herring treats! They are amazing for toppers in a food bowl and are a fun treat to add in the rotation. We highly recommend these treats if you're looking for a fun way to get omegas into your pets life!”

“I was in getting food for my kiddos pet frog and the staff was amazing. Super helpful and very kind. The place has something for pretty much any pet owner imaginable, and great prices.”
“This location located on a busy street. We usually swing by this store after eating across the street. The atmosphere of this store is great, very spacious and clean. They carry quite a few of treats for both cats and dogs and also cute bowls.”
“This store is spacious and clean. It’s a peaceful atmosphere - bring your leashed dog shopping! Today we bought a large bag of lamb lungs and a fuzzy ball. Toby added lots of other stuff to the wish list. We will be back!🐾”
“We’ve been bringing our pug for nail trimmings to Martha at Nature’s Pet Market for a few months now and have nothing but positive things to say! She’s very friendly, professional, efficient, and does a great job. Our dog is very comfortable with her, despite not being a big fan of having her nails trimmed (which is a huge win for us). Because she is a little finicky, Martha is able to secure her in a hanging dog harness, which is a big plus. She’s also very easy to schedule with. Highly recommend coming to Martha!”
“Fabulous service in a bright, well-stocked store. Had everything I was looking for and I even learned a few things. I was very impressed by the staff’s knowledge!”

“I really love the store! And so does my dog. Ever since he retired, he walks us miles just to get here at least once a week. The frequency is such that I deliberately drive him here in the hopes that he’ll stop pulling me across the city. They’ve got lots of single ingredient snack options to choose from and our favorite brand of dog food. Notably they have a squeaky pig and a squeaky shark that make a dog‘s dream come true. Save some for my dog. See you soon.”
“I really can’t say enough great things about Clackamas Feed. Friendly, helpful, they LISTEN to what your needs are. The kids behind the counter are great and respectful. It’s a great place!”
“We love this place! They’re always super helpful and kind. They also allowed us to return our cat food just because our cat didn’t like it, and helped pick out another one that might work.”
“Great selection of Inverts, Fish, Coral!
Awesome on the shelf goods, some of the best product for maintaining a reef.
Awesome people, super community oriented!
Love this place🙌”
“Best pet store in Portland! The staff are super kind, they have an amazing selection of goods and their pricing is very reasonable. This has been my go to pet store for over 6 years as a dog walker and pet care business owner.”
“Bought couple fishes from them and one of the fishes died the next day. Called and was advised to bring in a sample of my fish tank water for testing and they ended up giving me a replacement fish for no extra charge. Much appreciated!”
“We love this store. We especially love our dog groomer, Polo. He has a lot of experience and we trust him with our 25 lb mini golden doodle. We’ve been going to him for years and we are always so impressed with the quality of our doodles groom. Thank you Polo!”
“Amazing place! Great selection! Only pet store I go to in the Portland/clackamas area! Tanya gave me a great suggestion that fixed my dog’s ear infection quickly! 😆”
“Excellent local pet store with all the things you need at good prices. They have Frozen raw bones, wellness dog food, good quality harnesses, all sorts of treats, etc.”
“They have a great selection for pet food and toys. My bird and dog were picky eaters so it was great that I found a place that a such a healthy selection of dog food”
“We have had several great experiences here. The person who works here is very knowledgeable, and helped us find great treats and toys for our dog. The selection is surprisingly large for being a small space, but I would recommend this place based off of the great customer experience.”
“This has always been one of the most informative places to inquire when starting or maintaining our fish tanks. The owners are passionate about their customer's needs & their fish. We highly recommend them.”

“Always super kind and helpful staff. My dog gets absolutely stoked anywhere in a 2 block radius of this store. A treat from a mudbay employee is god tier in his eyes.”
“Went to A to Z Pets Inc on a whim and loved it! You can tell they really care about their animals. The fish were gorgeous, and we couldn’t help but wave at big Al the giant gourami a few times. The aquatic plants are so healthy and thriving in my tanks. I will definitely be back. The staff was so helpful and easy to talk to, and I am really impressed by this store.”
“Best pet store anywhere! Amazing employees (courteous, helpful), A huge selection of food, toys, treats, accessories, leashes, and collars, just everything you could ever need you will find here. I love Shopping at the store and our dogs are always so thrilled when we come home with a variety of food choices, and everything Else!”
“I bought a bag of dog food that I thought was the same as my dogs regular food (See image), but the packaging was different (not shown). It was actually a different formulation and made my dog have diarrhea. (She is a pure-bred with a very sensitive stomach.)
I called the store and left them a voicemail. They called me back!! I was able to return the unused portions of the dog food and in exchange get cans of plain chicken, and plain pumpkin to settle my dogs tummy.
I am in the middle of trying to heal my pups digestion so I can reintroduce her to kibble.
I was offered the option to have the store special order the particular formulation my dog eats but that they do not typically carry. Thanks go to Kelsey for helping me sort things out most carefully.
I gave 4 stars because of the initial mishap, which was very distressing for both me and especially my four-legged friend.”
“This place has been so helpful and kind during the last few months of my pets life they were so helpful and returned anything he didnt like. Ive found they beat out pricing compared to going directly to the brand. They just started carrying plants for sale in there which is so fun. Their knowledge in communication is very appreciated”
“Wonderful folks who sell the special food for my dog. I had been ordering it directly from the company, but now I plan to buy it from a store in my community that employs people in my community. Very glad I found a local supplier.”
“What a great spot! My partner and I wanted to let the dogs blow off some steam this afternoon. We found the Good Dog and made an easy reservation. The location was easy to find with other interesting shops nearby. Eric helped us check in and showed us to the space. It's a open, rubber matted space that was clean and well lit. There was shelving that held an assortment of toys for Betty and Shoba to try out. They chased balls and played tug for 30 minutes, tongues were lolling and they drank bunches if water. We bought the toy Betty loved the most, a super bouncy cube with rounded corners. We can't wait to go back with friends!”

“I’m only giving this a 4 star to get seen but my real score would be 2. I got my guinea pigs back in July and there was a small box like cage that had 4 guineas, they all looked terribly sick and one of the ones I got had his EAR half bitten. Their cage was incredibly filthy, something you shouldn’t have during those hot months, because flies were all over inside their cage. Soon enough, I had to put one of them down yesterday and I know it was because of these conditions they kept them in. It doesn’t take much to scoop up poop, very depressing experience and I can only wonder how the two other guiena pigs are doing. Rest in peace Ippo 🕊3/21/26”
