“What a top notch, customer oriented business. I bought there for first time about a week ago. Got product home and there were some issues with quality. I contacted them and they graciously resolved the issue immediately, with no arm wrestling necessary to resolve the issue. Went out if their way to insure I was satisfied. You have earned another lifelong customer. Thank you.”

“We make a weekly trip to our Grocery Outlet to buy things like green plantains, mixed nuts, Lara bars, kombucha, and avocado oil. These items are priced below other grocery stores but we cannot depend on them being in stock. The only downside of shopping here is that they are often stocking shelves, making it tough to get around the store.”

“Name makes it sound like a quickie mart. It's not! It's a Korean grocery store with a wide selection of meats, seafóod, produce, beverages, baked goods, and exotic sweets and miscellaneous as well as everyday groceries with an Asian flare. Try some frozen durian☺️.”

“I love these guys the only problem I keep going through is my favorite salad made there Is $7 & no matter what the lettuce is always completely warped & Uneatable I have to buy a separate bad just for lettuce It's the BBQ Chicken salad But they should put lettuce in separate bag to keep better or Atleast offer discount for not having even one piece of lettuce edible, it's really not right or okay to have to pay that much just for a very small amount of BBQ chicken..Also I'm pretty new to Trader Joes maybe 2+ yrs And I went in 2 different times to get my favorite salad dressing 1 time was Dressing 2 ND was juice but I couldn't find my dressing I asked & they informed me that it's only Seasonal I had no idea that was even possible never went through this Also happened with a juice I love so much to is only seasonable Of you guys could please please let people know maybe 30days ahead of not sales anymore that season but put a card labeled on items that are only seasonal so I could of had a choice to buy more upfront would of ment world to me , the fact it didn't even matter to you guys just isn't okay”

“They have almost every vegan item you could ask for and even locally made things in Portland. I picked up some vegan English toffee and it was amazing. Just like a heath bar. Got some chocolate truffles made in Oregon. Dope place.”

“I just became a co-op member and I'm so glad I did! The bulk section is phenomenal and they don't sell any meat in store. Some items are cheaper than other places, some are more expensive, but I love buying local to support the lovely store. It is a bit small, so be prepared for potential traffic jams/pileups. Masks are preferred in store but not required”

“I bought some candy on the suggestion of the clerk. It was a huge hit with my friends. Thank you so much. They will never forget the candy you sold me.

Before I left town for my vacation back to Kansas City I stopped by and picked up some candy the clerk suggested. It was the best $30 I ever spent on candy.
?My friends in Kansas City ate it all.
? My adopted mom, minister is from Russia. She took some to give to her.
?They wanted to know how I found Russian candy in Portland, Oregon. I was exploring the area on foot one day after going to the grocery store nearby, saw it, stopped and tried to get coffee to take home. They didn’t have any. And this was suggested. Thank you so much for that recommendation.
? I flew home and had the candy in my carry on bag. It did great. The shape held together. The humidity in Missouri is bad. The candy never melted. Not a great gift to present if the chocolate candy is melted.
? No one knows Russian so it was fun to watch people ask me what kind of candy they were holding. I did not know. So the adventure began. Unwrap candy, examine and then taste. Everyone was laughing.

?Who knew eating something you couldn’t read the label on, would be such a fun experience?

?Hazelnut was in some of the candy. I remember that being said a lot. The labels would be remembered then.

I would spend $30 on candy here again. It wasn’t just the people enjoying the candy, it was me watching how they reacted. And then it’s a unique memory, I don’t think anyone will regret.

ALSO:
I love that there is plenty of free parking here. I feel safe in the area. There are other things to do in the area- the zoo and Washington Park is only 15 minutes away.

The people that I have met going into the store are helpful. I don’t feel pressured to buy anything. And they don’t laugh when I ask questions I feel are silly. I won’t repeat.”

“Owner is hard working and friendly, despite the riff-raff that comprise the general clientele. Prices are fairly reasonable, and i prefer that my money go to small independent places like this instead of big chains like 7-11 and Plaid.”

“The shop is exactly what you would expect of a small shop. Everything is fairly priced and is in my opinion one of the best places to get exotic asain fruit with the addition of quality ingredients. The shop isn't much to look at but it is worth shopping. This is a sweet spot for chefs and home cooks alike.”
