“I had two frustrating experiences at two different countertop stores before my contractor referred me to Milan Stoneworks. I inquired via their online form and they called me back so fast that it was spooky. They were super helpful over the phone, took in the details of my project and made helpful recommendations, and were again helpful and friendly when I came by the shop to look at products. Unlike the other places I visited who either had material, or were fabricators, and didn't have any interest in making purchasing easy for me, Milan handles the whole process of selecting material, fabricating and installing and is a great choice to walk you through your project.”

“This place is AMAZING!!!!! We were looking for a new kitchen sink. Our installer told us that Clancy Supply would have it or could get it ASAP. We headed down there and talked to Melinda. She is great. They didn't have the sink but she checked with someone and they had one in their Eugene store but would take about a week. $700+. We told here we would shop around and get back to her. We called the same store that she had, not realizing that was the one that Melinda called and they said they had one in Eugene blah blah but $800+. About that time Melinda called us and said she found us one and we could go pick it up $399. Not the same brand but a good one. They were on sale. My husband asked Melinda how they get paid if we don't get it from Clancy. We don't she said we just hope you pass us one to others. If you live in the Portland Or area check them out before you buy. My next purchase will be a toilet and some bathroom sinks and believe me we will buy them there. THANK YOU MELINDA at CLANCY SUPPLY on Ochoco St., Portland , Or”

“These guys are excellent. Coulee built a beautiful smooth concrete countertop for my kitchen. Ben and his team do phenomenal concrete work with fantastic customer service. They came back on multiple visits just to make sure things were installed correctly. Even when I discovered a blemish after mistakenly leaving a cleaning solution on my countertop, they returned yet again to ensure the surface was as blemish free as the day it was installed. Highly recommend Ben and his team at Coulee!”

“Bought a condo 4 years ago. Besides new carpets and some new hardware for kitchen cabs and bathroom, otherwise didn't need to do much...except for the master shower. The sliding door track was rusty and hard to clean, and the color, a dull yellow I didn't like.I responded to a couple of the TV ad places for an estimate. OMG. $18-25,000. Really. (They always stress "affordable". Really? To whom?) And that's for the simplest model. More than a low end new car? And that was with the "special" offers!!! And composite (not tile) they offer, looks like...never mind!An independent contractor I called suggested Miracle Method.Long story short, nice salesman came out. I found a "chocolate granite" treatment I liked, beautiful new door, plus two bathroom countertops I love.Nicest contractor, excellent work, $3,000. I think it was a day and a half. Drying time.Highly recommend...unless you 50 grand for a special contractor to come out and use actual tile.Gary”

“I had an LED light for my houseplants that suddenly stopped working. I brought it in to see if they could fix it.They were super knowledgeable and friendly and figured out what was wrong with it. I just needed to replace the AC adaptor cable. They didnt sell it there but told me where I could find it. Also didnt charge me a dime! 10/10 will go there again. I've been to this location several times before and the staff has always been very knowledgable and willing to go the extra mile to help me get my project done.”

“I've walked into many tile places and had to beg for help. Not the case here. I was able to browse peacefully without anyone asking questions but when I was ready to make selections they were more than available and helpful. The staff gave me ideas that I hadn't thought about and suggestions that were very creative. I cannot say enough about how happy I was with the service and the variety”

“The folks at this store are super helpful and so welcoming. We came in for a quick impromptu visit while visiting and were all deeply impressed with the level of service they offered. I learned more about sheet types in five minutes than I had doing research on the internet. Highly recommend if you’re local to the area!”

“We hired Colin and his team to fully renovate two bathrooms on the upper level of our home, which also involved repairing water damage to a second unit on the lower level. Initially, we decided to hire Colin because of how insightful and thoughtful he was about different ways to approach the project. Throughout the project, working with him truly felt like a collaboration. He respected our vision, but also brought new ideas to the table when we needed direction. He communicated with us frequently about the project, milestones, and any potential issues. The work zones were cleaned up tidily at the end of each day. And perhaps most important - his craftsmanship was impeccable. We couldn't be happier with the renovation and the process. We highly recommend his team, and would hire them again in a heartbeat.Services: Tile work installation”

“The service & knowledge was off the charts. If only more companies were like Chown. I went in with a pressing commercial issue. Tony explained what they could do and then -- without prompting -- CALLED out of store installers to help get the job done in a timely manner!!! Incredible. He also predicted all the needs of said installer. Chown will get all of my business moving forward.”

“Amazing customer service, especially for a DIY-er like me. On two days recently Craig Campanaro and then Justin Corzine spent at least 30 minutes helping me find the right hard to find parts - back and forth in the store, on the phone -- above and beyond. I would have been up a creek without their help. Good luck finding that kind of service at a big box store.”

“We've done business with DeWhitt before this purchase. Both experiences were consistently good. Brian was great with his customer service. All our business was conducted by phone, but we had already researched online what we wanted before we called DeWhitt. This most recent purchase was for an oven, and Brian was able to look at the specs and determine that it was a close match with the space available for it. Brian recommended an installer who did an excellent job of installing the oven. We would not hesitate to purchase our next appliance from DeWhitt.”

“This review is not specifically for the cabinets we bought but the overall process working with Parr to get the Kemper cabinets selected and installed, and the counter top/kitchen sink. Also broke it down by appoint since it wasn't only Parr that came out to work. It's too soon to say how the kemper cabinets will hold up in the long run. Short review: There were a couple of hiccups along the way, but we'd recommend them. You have to make sure to project manage it a bit because things do inevitably happen and if you just sit around and wait for the coordinators to reach out to you, it could take longer which could impact when your kitchen is finally done. Would use them again. Long review: Parr: Ken (NE Portland location) was our sales person and he was GREAT! I would recommend him 100%. He always worked hard to make sure things went smooth as possible for us post sale. We took our time during the design phase and it took us about 3 different trips (over the span of 6-9 months) to look around and ask questions at the showroom. Ken never seemed impatient; he didn't rush us but patiently answered questions and sent us a mock up of our designs and updated mock up several times. Even when the install started if there were any hiccups, he jumped right in to try to smooth things out or address our concerns. He also offered alternatives to help save us money. Cabinet Measure: Paul came out and recommended a couple things that would make the cabinets hold up longer and not end up with the ceiling sagging due to the weight. That was greatly appreciated. Installers: Jim & Spencer were GREAT. The install took 2.5 days. Each day they cleaned up after themselves and vacuumed and swept the area. Our house is old so there was some uneven floors/ceilings they had to deal with. They offered up a couple different alternatives and worked with us to find a solution. We ended up being able to use extra scrap pieces to fill in gaps w/o having to order extra pieces. Side note, you will still have to vacuum and wipe things down after they finish. The dust gets everywhere but their cleaning makes your wipe down much more manageable. 2nd installer: Paul: Came back out to finish covering some cabinets that they had to cut to accommodate hvac for our vent. He took the time to go and check the how the project looked to make sure things opened nicely, etc. He might be one of the lead installers based on what Ken said. I think he works directly for Parr. Counter top measure (FloForm): He was fine and able to accommodate my request. Because our run of counter is so long, they ended up needing 2 pieces and I didn't like the original spot he was going to put the seam but he was able to move it. Counter top/sink install (FloForm): It took about 2.5 hours. Install itself was smooth. But we had a tilt drawer in front of the sink and after the sink was installed the tilt drawers were too wide so stuck out a little. Had to contact Ken at Parr to see if they had a skinner tray. 3rd installer (Viktor): Came to replace a piece that the manufacturer sent the wrong color. No issues with this install. He also adjusted the setting on our cabinet with a garage door. We ended up needing to order another hinge for that door. For some reason it only came default with one hinge and it closed harder than we wld hv liked so had Ken order another one. 4th installer (Ken): swap out the tilt tray to fit the narrow space. Install went smooth with no issues. 5th install: add 2nd hinge for garage style door. Installed with no issue, just installed a bigger hinge with soft close instead of installing a second hinge. Appointment Scheduler: Our contact was Sarah. I'm not sure who she works for but there were a couple issues that caused us to rearrange our schedule last minute. 1. The cabinet measure appointment somehow got moved w/o our consent so we had to take time off of work to be there or else they couldn't fit us on the books for another MONTH for a different reschedule. When my husband asked what happened s”

“I went to A-Boy for help to fix my 1932 American Standard sink faucet. The staff were polite, patient & most importantly helped me get the parts I needed to fix my faucet. I am not a plumber, so their help & guidance was essential. It wasn't the biggest sale of the day, only $18, but I have been a customer for years, and will of course continue to be a loyal customer for purchases large & small. Thanks A-Boy!”

“I’ve worked with Parr Design Center in Aloha on a couple of projects, happily and successfully, but thought I’d try the NW PDX location on a project to gut and rebuild a bath/laundry room plus create a kitchenette area in my daylight basement. With Miguel as my guide, we came up with perfect solutions using Parr’s Stock (vs. custom) cabinetry. Miguel’s extensive knowledge about the product and process made decision making easy. His customer service is thorough, accurate, and fun. I am a huge fan of Parr and now, also, the NW PDX location……..and Miguel! :-)”

“We visited this showroom just to see our options in person, not necessarily intending on purchasing, but Ronnie was so incredibly helpful that we ended up buying everything we needed through Ferguson. She quickly answered my hundreds of questions and worked with my oddly specific preferences over a series of several visits and emails. Ronnie is a wealth of knowledge and a delight to work with, and I will gladly return for future projects!”
