The Paramount Hotel Portland offers a wonderful stay in the heart of downtown Portland with a great and perfect location. It is close to everything, including Pioneer Courthouse Square, theaters, the art gallery, fabulous dining, shopping, and entertainment. The hotel provides clean, comfortable, and large rooms with great views, comfortable beds, and everything needed. The staff is friendly, helpful, and wonderful. The area is very walkable and totally safe, with easy walking access to shops and restaurants, and many did not need a car at all. There is great secure parking available. It is a solid, well-maintained hotel with plenty of excellent food and drink options nearby.
What an amazing downtown location! The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and you can arrive late and still grab a bite and a cocktail at Swine. The food is truly exceptional, making the whole stay even more memorable. Highly recommend.

Aging, but clean, reasonably priced with a good location and restaurants. Easy, nearby transportation to Gardens, Aboreum, neighborhoods, more .

Overall a very good stay, with a couple of small annoyances: no coffee in the rooms (available in the lobby), and very, very slow elevators (one was broken), making the trek for coffee that much more arduous. But I definitely would stay here again, maybe on a higher floor - the 2nd floor balcony room was pretty loud.
