“On March 29 of this year, I was driving from my home in Bellevue, WA to my sister’s home in Salem, OR. When on HWY 205, my car was rear-ended in a 5-car pileup.
I was able to drive it to my sister’s house but knew it needed significant body repair.
The next day, upon my sister’s 100% recommendation, we took my car to Traditional Auto Body & Paint in West Salem. We arrived before the shop was open but Susan came to us and said, “Come inside where it is warm, to wait for the technicians.” This much-needed kindness set the tone for five weeks of incredible care and patience. Jonathan Mayorga, Robert Anderson, and all the technicians paid attention to my unique/personal situation in dealing with insurance, my health issues and even getting back home. The professional expertise given to repair my car motivates me to post a FIVE STAR review AND 100% recommendation for TRADITIONAL AUTO BODY & PAINT.
The initial examination of my vehicle was thorough, and details were well explained to me. I was updated frequently via phone calls and email regarding estimates and insurance coverage. The full repair of my car was completed in a timely manner, done to my 100% satisfaction, and was cleaned, inside and out, better than it has ever been.
I was pleased to be given a detailed report of all the repair that was done, so that I will be able to share this with my repair shop in Bellevue, WA.
I certainly do not wish the necessity of auto repair for anyone but, if the occasion does occur, I would highly recommend TRADITIONAL AUTO BODY & PAINT, Salem, Oregon.

The team was very transparent about costs and policies, and they even finished sooner than they estimated! “From the first call to inquire about repairs to the final walk around- it could not have been an easier, stress-free experience. They worked with tow company, insurance and other services ( paint, parts, ect) to return my 2025 KIA Sorento just as perfect as when it came off the lot with the best parts(not the cheapest). I asked if they would give updates over the est 5-6 week repair time. Jose not only called as requested each Friday, he was able to complete the repairs in 3 weeks. After the anxiety and stress of the accident itself, I am so happy we used Jackson. “I had a great experience with Mackin’s Auto Body in Salem. I brought my Tesla in after hitting an animal and damaging the front bumper cover, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish.
The team was extremely professional, reliable, and quick. Communication was excellent throughout the repair process, and anytime they found something additional that needed to be addressed, they contacted me right away and kept me informed instead of leaving me wondering what was going on.
The quality of the repair was excellent, and my Tesla looks great again. It’s not always easy finding a shop you feel comfortable trusting with your vehicle, but Mackin’s definitely earned my trust. I really appreciated their professionalism, communication, and attention to detail.

FYI - You know what is so true and always will be? You never have a 2nd chance to make a first impression!! And I'm very impressed and happy with the service work your team did on my 2002 Dodge 2500 Cummins. The clutch and flywheel replacement was great, very cost effective as well as the labor. The tranny shifts better than it has in a long time, W/O any shudder! The repairs were completed faster than I had anticipated and I had my truck back in time for an appointment I needed my truck for, without having to reschedule my trip.
Thank you all, for your prompt action once you had the parts in and getting it back to me so quickly. I will be back for any other needed service work!

“I was rear-ended recently and took my highlander into Main/Lovegrove for repairs. They've worked on cars in the past for us and did a nice job. My car didn't look too bad on the surface, but once they got in there, there was a bit of damage to the back bumper, undercarriage and exhaust system. They did a nice job on the repair (the car did need to go back once for a quick adustment to the fitting on the back panel, which was done within hours) and I got regular calls and texts from my rep Eric as they worked through the insurance claim and repair process. “What a GREAT first experience I had today with this local shop! Zero wait time, and they were friendly, quick, knowledgeable, and thorough. I happened to have the necessary supplies on me (oil filter and oil) because a friend was going to do it for me but then couldn’t last second, so in desperation I googled cheap oil changes in Salem, and this place I’d never heard of was mentioned first! And they used my supplies and only charged $25 for the labor, even offering to change my air filter for free when he saw my newly-bought filter in my trunk.
And THEN I heard about their awesome mission (via Salem First Baptist) to be a second chance employer! So cool!”
