Animal Hospital at Thorndale
431 Bondsville Rd, DowningtownAll of our animals have come here for many years. They did a successful emergency surgery on one of our cats and with another cat with a life-threatening heart condition, they were very sympathetic and helpful. We always feel very welcome and everyone is very kind.

Banfield Pet Hospital
1010 E Lancaster Ave, DowningtownMy Colby passed recently and I used Banfield his entire life. (13 years) I never had a bad experience. I just took in a stray kitten and the next day he had congestion and wet nasal discharge as well as a lot of brown gunk in his ears. I called Banfield and they fit me right in. Dr. Leichty was so nice and never made me feel rushed. She explained his meds to me and made recommendations for his ongoing care. Her techs were also very kind and they were very knowledgeable about his different issues and I felt that they, like Dr. Leichty, really cared about helping this kitten.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Green Street Grill
150 E Pennsylvania Ave, DowningtownCame to Green Street Grill with 7 people and 3 kids. They were great at accommodating our large party on a busy morning with short notice. Taylor took care of us and was extremely attentive! We had someone in our party on a time limit and Taylor got her food in early. Food was extremely quick to come out and was so delicious!! Another server, Amanda, even took time to entertain the 2 year old we had with us. From the hostess to the busser, everyone at Green Street Grill was working hard to make sure we had a pleasant experience:)

Lione's Pizza Restaurant
116 Wallace Ave, DowningtownBest pizza in the world. When you have pizza you can tell if it's homemade or not. This pizza is definitely homemade and cooked perfectly every time I go there. Wings, fries, salads, everything is very good. Their wings are a 10/10 and taste like a homemade sauce too. Recommend!!!

The Farmhouse Coffee & Espresso Bar
115 W Lancaster Ave, DowningtownWhat I Loved:
1) vibe, decorations and open floor plan
2) amount of space each table has was fantastic (and I live they have tables with cards that say for 3 or more
4) coffee and pastries were awesome
Wishes:
1) some way other than a bin, for me to get rid of my dirty dishes. If I’m placing my dishes in a dirty bin with other peoples dishes, what am I providing a tip for?
2) food options outside of pastries. A salad or something else that is healthier with some protein
Outside of those two wishes, it was a great experience. I spent about half a day there working.

Anthony's Cucina Fresca
78 W Lancaster Ave, DowningtownI really wanted to rate this restaurant higher, but although the food was good, there weren't hardly any mussels or clams in the appetizer. Also we were seated upstairs and it was FREEZING! Everyone had their coats on and the heater said 86 degrees, but it wasn't. We ordered pizza and salads and it took over 90 minutes! I was here over a year ago in the winter months and the experience was different. I'm Italian, and the portions were small for the price.
