13 S Church St, West ChesterCori and Becky have made my 10 week old pup SO happy and comfortable to point where she fell asleep in the shop! We stumbled in on their six year anniversary promotion and received this adorable, clean ingredient biscuit for Sage (she loved it)! Not to mention their brilliant selection of clean ingredient grooming products and treats! They also have a rewards program that encourages customer retention and loyalty where accumulating points leads to discounts!

517 East Gay Street, West ChesterWe moved to the West Chester area from Indiana, where grooming was always a stressful experience for my dog. He would literally shake and cry in the parking lot before every appointment and even had to be scheduled in a special “bad boy” time slot because he hated it so much.
Then we found Barkers Barber—and especially Brenda. She is so kind, patient, and genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. My dog absolutely LOVES her, and it makes all the difference. On top of that, she does an amazing job every time!
I am beyond grateful we found Brenda and truly wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dog. If you’re looking for an incredible groomer that treats your dog like family, I can’t recommend Barkers Barber enough!

We have 3 dogs and 1 cat, and when we moved to the area I tried 3 different clinics before finding this one. Animal Hospital of Chester County is by far the best. Our oldest dog and our cat are established here now; the only reason we haven't moved our other two dogs over yet is that they don't accept CareCredit, which matters a lot with 3 senior dogs and the cost of proactive cancer screening. Hoping they add it as an option soon, since everything else about this practice is exactly what we were looking for.

Most recently - upon finding a cancerous tumor on her foot, they have been great caretakers of her through her first treatment and recovery and now through a second recurrence and amputation. They provided recommendations on outside resources and consultations as we worked through all possible remedies. They are great with Felicia - who can be a more nervous dog - in giving her the best possible treatment. I would recommend anyone in the area visit them if they need a new practice or are looking for a second opinion or guidance on treatment.

725 E Washington St, West ChesterIf it was possible, she and her staff should get a 50 instead of just five stars ever since my brother Steve was seeing her back in the 80s. I can’t believe I got to get in with my dogs in the 90s and for some reason I had a spits his name was Sam wise gam gees the second was a bichon frise he had a bunch of physical problems, such as seizures, and then later in life, he had cataracts which was taken care of once and then it came back after about five years, he was about 18 when it came back, but Dr Jane and her staff got him to live till he was 22 years old he was very close to being 23 then we had a Jack Russell her name was Xena warrior princess, even with her liver disease and pancreatitis. She made it to 18. We’ve had several dogs since then and just amazing care the new one is bruiser and he’s about five now and he was a rescue literally half border collie half cattle dog. She’s amazing with him even though he’s incredibly shy and nervous around people that he doesn’t know within 15 minutes he was literally wanting to eat out of her hand, so there isn’t much more I can say about her except the love and care that she gives her animals and the ones that are stupid humans ha ha ha she’s probably the best doctor. I’m not gonna say Vet veterinarian doctor that is on the face of the planet thank you.

Misguided Mutts Dog Behavior Training
846 West Chester Pike, West ChesterI truly cannot say enough about Rich and Christina of Misguided Mutts. They care for our pups as if they were their own, and that kind of trust is everything.
One story that really captures who they are: our dog was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease at just 4 years old—something that requires consistent medication and thoughtful care. Rich and Christina didn’t hesitate for a second. They were completely confident and compassionate in managing her needs. Our pup can be anxious and easily stressed, yet every time she comes home from them, she is noticeably calmer.
Then, just one week before a planned trip to Portugal, she ruptured her CCL. Again, no hesitation. They stepped in immediately and took over her care starting post-op day one, supporting her recovery for four full weeks. They went above and beyond—handling medications, rehab, and even taking her to vet appointments.
They’ve become like family to us because of how deeply they care. We’ve since adopted two puppies, and once again… no problem. I even checked in with them beforehand to make sure 2 puppies was an ok idea, and they welcomed them with open arms.
If you’re looking for training, boarding, or simply people who will love your dog as much as you do, I cannot recommend Misguided Mutts enough. We are truly so grateful. ?

The industrial-park location might not sound exciting, but don't let that fool you-the atmosphere inside and outside makes it work. Definitely stop by if you are in the West Chester area! 🍻
