“What a pleasant surprise this museum was.
It’s divided into 4 sections: the visitor/gift center, main gilded-age mansion, house with veterans stuff, and the New Exhibit building.
The main mansion is beautifully decorated and has a lot of descriptive plaques. But you can also just take in the spaces and be totally satisfied with just admiring it all. Several floors, with upper levels containing some more specific exhibits (St. Vincent’s Hospital when we were there).
The Morrison House has more of a military history focus, and also has some geographic information about the old Erie Canal (PA).
The New Exhibit had a feature on Frank Lloyd Wright which was neat, and also had lots of information on the residents of Erie over the years.
Easily could spend several hours at the museum to see everything. Good selection of Erie/region specific items in the gift shop. Should also note if you come with a group, you could get a good deal by signing up as a member.”
“Went to the Legion with my son and family members after a funeral while visiting Erie Pennsylvania I enjoyed the comfort here, very friendly staff and patrons, very good prices”
“Very nice and quiet place to be. As long as they ain't got riff raffs in there. They'll be all right. I enjoy the private club. Where you would not have to worry about being shot. But being in the wrong place at the wrong time. This club offers a very protective service and nice clientele.”

“We love voices!!! I can’t put into words what this organization has done for our daughter and family. We see her growing more social, independent and outgoing daily! It’s her favorite place to be and she loves the staff.”
“The Barber National Institute is a great place for everyone. They don't judge you. We are also an equal opportunity employer. Looking for people who want to help change lives, and help make people's dreams come true. The pool is a fun place to go, and they also hold other events in the gym. I want to say I am an employee of the Barber Institute, and it's the best job I've ever had. We all work to help people have better lives, and what's better than that?”
“This building is for veterans female and male they're allowed to come and they get a duffel bag with personal items toilet paper towels depending on the weather if it's winter time they get gloves or hats or scarves in their little bundle. “Beautiful historical home in downtown Erie. The rooms have many antiques staged in the large rooms and bed rooms. Many events through out the year to attend for a small fee. Food and beverages may be served at events as well. The home is available for parties (holiday events, bridal, showers and birthday parties- contact them for info) catering is not provided by the home for personal events. Consider a membership to help with the costs of upkeep!”

“The Erie Downtown Partnership is a great asset to the Downtown Erie Community. I've worked with their team over the past two years and they genuinely care about the residents, the businesses, the visitors and everyone else who frequents downtown. A lot of their efforts go unnoticed because it happens out of the public eye but these guys put their hearts into their job and I am incredibly thankful for the work they do! Thank you!”
“Great staff, friendly environment they work tirelessly helping refugees towards self sufficiency and always answer phone. My case managers were Hamid and Monica love you guys and thank you.”

“There's nothing better than being in a old school club. They are much than a standard bar or pub. The Pulaski Club has great people, great prices, and a great atmosphere. Of course, you have to know someone to get in or be a member.”

“This place is under new management. It is a safer, cleaner place. They help many people who are homeless and helpless. The new management has given a new lease of life and security to everyone who comes to this place. I am very proud of all the staff, especially Mary C. Santiago, who has done an excellent job, giving 100% in everything she does with love and honesty.”
“Prior to covid this was the only place I would go. They still have wonderful people and great equipment. However, because of maintenance issues I have to go to Glenwood to use the pool. The downtown pool should be open late spring early summer.”
“Always find great things here! Items are consistently a higher quality than other thrift stores. Definitely worth stopping in, especially because the proceeds go to support local people in need!”
“4 stars because I wish there was an online sign up for the sauna and I wish they had better / newer / more weights in the basement weight room. Very clean for how massive the gym is. There is so much room. The child care while you work out is AMAZING. My 4 yr old son could not love it more.”
“Thank you for mailing. I was looking for imported Arabic calligraphy. I gave it a shine and will be customizing the display. The online store was the perfect method.”
“Got a call this morning from my dad that my dog Dexter ran away last night. They searched for hours without any results. I felt so powerless from Lake Tahoe not able to do anything. I immediately contacted Erie Animal Network and Dexter was found and home within an hour. I can't thank them enough for acting so quickly!”
