M.A.'s Ice Cream Shop
303 W Lincoln Ave, McDonaldI finally made it here after years of hearing about how great it was.
I must just state that my ice cream foodie brain was blown on the quality, friendliness, affordability and most of all. the gigantic generous portions. A small serving of ice cream equaled 4 heaping scoops. The owners serve you with a smile and time to chit chat. They are genuinely kind and care about your satisfaction and happiness. Much appreciated MA's is ice cream heaven? Go here early and often!!!

Nose 2 Tail Cat Rescue
127 E Lincoln Ave, McDonaldMy very shy senior cat needed a mobile vet, as car rides to the vet would stress her out and by the time she would arrive to the vet's office, she would be a nervous wreck. And honestly, so was I. Dr. Garner's clinic being mobile made all the difference. I was able to be with my cat during all of the necessary procedures, including an echo; it made me more calm and I was also able to pet my cat through it, which also relaxed her. I think this served like exposure therapy for her and she began being less anxious at the vet. There was still some anxiety, understandably, but nowhere near before.
Probably what stands out more is Dr. Garner's professionalism and that she truly cares and follows up. She will even text back on the weekends. At one point, there was a misunderstanding with my cat's paperwork for traveling to Europe and I ended up having to reschedule my flight. Dr. Garner offered and did cover the fee for the difference in fare, which was a whopping $1100. She didn't have to cover it and I didn't ask her to. She has a sense of professionalism, responsibility, and integrity, but probably more than anything; it is caring for her patients. When my cat passed away in my arms suddenly on Memorial Day, Dr. Garner called me and walked me through what had happened. I don't know what I would've done had she not did that; I would've never had closure. This is a doctor you can trust with your most precious companions. And, the fact that she is doing a mobile clinic, in Arizona of all places, is incredible. Literally God's angel on earth.
