“First, I like Daniel’s for the nostalgia. My father in law first brought me here in 1971. Really though, they are great for appliances. Their prices are competitive, the people are helpful, but most importantly, the delivery people work for them, not a sub-contractor. If you’ve ever had delivery issues with a big box store you know how important that is. I’m not saying you’ll never have a problem, but if you’ve ever do you call the store and don’t get shuttled from number to number trying to get your problem resolved.”

We stopped by Dormont appliance and met our salesperson Wayne. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. After speaking with him and going over a few things we were told by other stores salesman about some products, it was a clear we found the store where we wanted to spend our money. They had the best overall price for the washer and dryer we bought. Easy no pressure purchase, and easy quick delivery! Definitely top of our list for any future appliance purchases! We went with the GE Profile Washer (PTW700BST0WS) and Dryer (PTD70GBST0WS)Set! So far they are working Great! Thanks to Dormont Appliance and Wayne for a great experience!”

“I was in the need for some specific anchors for both granite and wood for some home projects and while in the West Mifflin area past Home Depot first and went in and checked out their stuff and prices. Ended up buying what I needed there. The prices were very good and the store was both stocked and busy. I saw a good handful of staff they were all busy helping customers so eventhough I did not need them, if I did they were around. This is great. Sometimes in stores they are not around when you need them. It was a great feeling. Thanks!”
“I didn't like the neighborhood, and not really impressed with the store, but Sonya in the garden department was very nice. She helped me pick out mothers day flowers that aren't easily killed. She made the trip worthwhile.”

“Other hardware stores around hire employees that have complete lack of communication skills, complete disregard towards the customers, and a total lack of care for providing any customer service whatsoever. This Home Depot in particular is the exception, I am always treated with respect, and I always receive the quality help and care I need when shopping for all sorts of products. The other stores in the area are so bad that I've gone in, sought help or specific products, and I leave to come to this Home Depot each time, the only one that's worthy.”

“My dad used Home Life Appliances for repairs and replacements. Months before he passed away, he handed me their card and told me to use them if I ever needed a repair when I took over his house. I trusted my dad. When my somewhat old washing machine stopped spinning, I gave them a call. The owner was able to come out the following week (today). Setting up the appointment with the receptionist was easy and she gave me a clear idea of what it would probably cost, stressing that I would be informed and free to make a decision if it might go over that price. I also explained that I would not be home during the time the owner would be coming over and we worked something out where a relative would meet him at the house. Everything worked out smoothly and they had everything fixed before I returned home. The price was fair. I felt that the service was honest. My only regret is that I wasn't there to thank the owner for his work. I truly appreciate small businesses like this and the skills and knowledge of the owner. Thank you. You helped during a very stressful time. Clean socks are awesome too.”
