“Definitely one of the best escape rooms I've been to and the best one in the area. The technology implemented in the rooms are super cool.
Theming is cool and you can tell a lot of effort was put into the room. It was not just haphazardly semi relevant decor thrown into the room to give the bare minimum immersion.
The staff was super chill. And venue was clean. I will deff be back to try out the other rooms.”
“Easy parking lot, central to Oakland and Pitt's campus. Big banquet room inside (that was used for the cage scene in the movie Silence Of The Lambs). Nice, short walk-thru war memorial inside on the first floor. Garage and lawn fell pretty safe for a city setting.”
“We had a group of neighbors go to Board and Brush on a Sunday evening and we all had a great time. The staff was wonderful and Nikki the instructor was exceptional. Can’t wait to go back again.”
“Had my bridal "shower party" here this November and it was amazing. The staff was super helpful, organized and made the day so amazing. They even helped bring dinner to my sweet grandmas that have a hard time walking. The place was decorated so beautifully and classy for Christmas and made me feel like I really didn't even need my own decorations. The view was so beautiful and I really feel the price was beyond reasonable for all that we got. Highly recommend!”
“This place is an amazing gem. Hidden just off the beaten path . Something never seems to disappoint. If you have never been there . Your missing out on some amazing times”
“Attended an event here. Very well run. Probably not going to try and become a member, but I would recommend it to anyone who asks if their high quality event would be treated professionally and with care.”
“Great little venue. So pretty inside! We were here to see an artist we know and like perform. Apparently they have shows here frequently throughout the year. There’s tables set up and you can bring your own food and drinks. They were also selling snacks like chips and pop. We had a great evening listening to music!”
“Attended a work event here and it really is a hidden gem. The grounds are beautiful and include many amenities. Perfect for weddings, work retreats or other events. Only small critique is that the restrooms are all singles, which could be an issue at a large event.”
“What an amazing experience we had at the Art Room for my daughter‘s wedding celebration!
Kirsten, Lydia, Claire, and Laura were all fabulous! From the minute we reached out to them and then met each one to the very last hug goodbye, everything was perfect! They are the kindest and most knowledgeable people and the hardest working group I’ve ever seen! Everything looked so beautiful because the venue is amazing! I would recommend it to anybody and if I ever need another place for a party, I will be going there!”
“Songbird Artistry creates gorgeous pieces! I love my new Taylor Swift earrings and magnets that I purchased at Pgh Pride. I will certainly buy from them in the future! ?”

“It’s a nice hotel. Everything was on par with Holiday Inn Standards. Clean lobby, friendly staff, and spacious rooms. The beds could have been more comfortable, but this is only opinion and not an observation of truth.”
“Such a beautiful setting. I was invited as a participant of the Somma study. The place was set beautifully. Everyone was friendly, the food was good and plentiful. I want to thank everyone that made this event so wonderful.”
“Despite the bright panels on the outside, Irma Freeman Center for the Imagination is in many ways a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of place. Even after having been past it on foot several times, I often had fairly little idea what it was. My first impression was that it might be a community center for disabled or destitute youths, and therefore somewhere that serves a valuable cultural function but in which I have no place. I was very incorrect in this assumption, as I found out later. One day, while the doors were open, I walked in. I was treated to a private, minimalistic indie gallery featuring work by local artists. At the time, the exhibit focused principally on abandoned sites in the Pittsburgh area, with photographs giving an eerie portrait of the region's history. It was as though the photographers were archaeologists documenting recent times that have fallen into obscurity and ruin. This is of course not the only exhibit: Irma Freeman's collections, ever changing, deal with a number of different artists and themes. Gift shop at the front door and opening night receptions every First Friday of the month. Strongly recommend!”
“I got my dad and myself a blacksmithing class for Christmas, so we went and made fire pokers and had a fantastic experience. It's a really cool venue for that kind of art! The instructors were great, and it was a nice bonding experience. Money well spent, and it was absolutely worth the price!”
“Absolutely gorgeous wedding venue with amazing staff! I had an art deco/gatsby themed wedding and this place was perfect! The space is a blank canvas for you to make your own! Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere unique with history to hold your event!”
“We happened to be walking by around lunchtime and decided to try the fish fry. We both got fried shrimp dinners, with pierogies, coleslaw, and haluski. Everything was great and the folks there are very accommodating (since we'd never been there before and we're confused!). And they take credit cards. The fried fish sandwiches looked good too. And large. The social hall had a lot of tables set up to dine in and a bar to sit at as well.”
“100% recommend! Me and my husband had our wedding here 8/13/22 Lois and the rest of her team at the four season banquet house were amazing!!! Every step of the way Lois helped us make sure we did not forget any details and offered many helpful suggestions. Policies are super great to work with as well as we were able to personalize so much of our big day ( had our dog at our wedding, a food truck, ect! ) throughout the day Lois and her team even took pictures to help us remember our big day! This was so thoughtful as we will not get all of our professional ones back for some time. Some of the ones she took ended up being some of our favorite! At the end of the night her and her team even helped us clean and pack up everything! We can’t wait to come back again some day!! Thank you for helping us in our fairytale”
“I've been to this place a few times and always had a nice time. I am not a member and cannot find membership information or prices. They do allow non members in for events like bands playing there. That's how I get in. Nice people here. All very friendly.”
“Creative Reuse is my favorite place on Earth. It is SO easy to find tons of strange, interesting and rare items here that one otherwise wouldn't be able to find elsewhere! I go almost every month to stock up on random cassette tapes to see what's on them (some great indie music finds here if you dig around), newspaper clippings and as many vintage Pittsburgh magnets possible. If you like crafts and unconventional decorations, this place is definitely for you!
Also, everyone that works here is super nice and the prices are usually super reasonable. Every bad review saying otherwise has either never stepped foot in Creative Reuse or are people who don't believe retail employees deserve respect. This is a store that should never go away!”
“My family and I went to The Manchester Room for Drag Queen Bingo, to benefit the Zombie Traveling Baseball Team. We had an absolute blast. They played great music. And, all of the performances were very entertaining. We thought the $30 admission was incredibly reasonable, since it included 6 games of bingo, a great drag queen show, our meal, dessert options and non-alcoholic beverages. And, it was a BYOB event, if you wanted to enjoy a cocktail or a beer.Sadly, all of us commented about the HUGE pillar, located right in the middle of the room. It inevitably presented a tremendous obstacle to everyone's ability to watch the show, no matter where you were seated. It's a total shame that the owner/ designer didn't spend the money on a metal support cross beam, to run the entire width of the room. It would be such a beautiful banquet room, if it had been designed without that enormous pillar in the middle of the room. Plus, removing it would leave enough space, to add another round table in the room.”
“We had a great time having our wedding reception at the Hampton Event Center.Pros:- Lori is very nice and provides lots of helpful tips and suggestions for making sure the event goes smoothly. As people who hadn't planned a wedding before, having her as a guide made things a lot easier.- The decorations were quite pretty. I especially liked the Christmas decorations for our December wedding.- The synthetic flowers look almost real. Don't fret about looks if you want to save money on flowers.- The tablecloth, runner, and napkin selection is diverse with some good colors.- The table runners are very sparkly and pretty to look at.- The bartender provided for events is really friendly.- Being able to have an all-inclusive package is very helpful, especially for us coming in from out of town. It makes preparations a lot smoother. Not having to hunt around for a cake, flowers, caterer, etc., is very nice.- The layout of the hall is very efficient and organized.- Having card boxes and gift tables ready for use is very helpful.- Being able to order cases of craft beer that you can take home after the wedding is great.- Although many people didn't use it at our wedding, the offers for hotel discounts for guests coming in from out of town are very helpful.- The location of the venue, being in the North Hills, would be very convenient for most weddings.- The gazebo is great for photos.Cons:- The easel they provided for seating charts is unstable/broken. I would consider bringing your own system for your seating chart.- Some of the dinner sides are a bit bland, mainly the mashed potatoes and green beans.- Lori can sometimes be a bit slow to respond to emails, but I think some of that can be attributed to the workload she has.We definitely recommend that you consider Hampton for your wedding reception.”
“Update: changed to 4 stars from 1 because the owner/manager/someone called me and apologized and offered a free play session and to come back. This was a good business practice, taking accountability, and trying to right a miscommunication. Good job!
I called the day before to see if Saturday had any private parties since they stopped updating their Facebook with their availability. The woman specifically checked the Monroeville location and told me we could come. Only for my kids and my parents, who were here from out of town, to be turned away. Learn how to communicate better!”
“I haven't had an event yet, but the facility is great. They give you time to set up and have 4 hour event. Staff is very friendly and obliging. Tables are dec I rated in black b u t you can bring your own decorations. Can seat almost 100 people.”
“My first time booking with her and I loved it!! I had a bingo party for my birthday and I got the hall all day for a small price. Very spacious, and she was very easy to communicate with. I will definitely be booking again, because me and my friends and family had a ball.”

“We had a wonderful stay!! I'm from Pittsburgh and drove by this place 1000 times! I had no idea it was a place to stay until recently. The mansion is gorgeous and the architecture is beautiful. The wood work in this place is mind blowing!!! It's amazing! Top grade craftsmanship went into building this place and renovating it.The night we got there, there was a party downstairs on the main floor around the main entrance. We pulled up and could hear the music. Parking gave us a bit of anxiety but it worked out. We did get a spot around back. They have valet parking. The valet driver just told us where to park so we followed that direction. he also asked us before parking if we had plans on leaving. That's important because if you want to leave and there is a party, it could take a good bit to get your car out. We didn't have an issue because we stayed in.We stayed up on the 3rd floor. This place is so big and so solid that we couldn't hear a peep coming from the party on the first floor!!! Our room was big and private. We didn't encounter anyone else on our floor the whole weekend. There were no noisy people upstairs or beside us or roaming the halls. The place is so solid that we didn't hear a peep!!! The bathroom in our room had a nice shower, TV, comfy bed. There is a staircase and stained glass window as soon as you walk in the main entrance that's breathtaking. we walked a few streets over the next day to Pamela's for breakfast which I would also recommend. We had a great stay. I think there are extras you can add on to your stay like butler service or breakfast but we didn't do that. we were just kind of left to enjoy and we loved that! The lady that checked us in and out was so nice. It was really incredible to see this place if you are a fan of architecture. Chefs kiss!!I do think it would be helpful if they had a little map or something for people that stay. Trying to figure out how to get to our room took us a few minutes because we had to check in inside the house next door, walk into the mansion, take the elevator up and figure out how to get up to 3. The lady that checked us in gave us directions that were clear but when you don't know where you are going it takes a few minutes to figure out the route. We figured out 2 ways to get up to the 3rd floor. There's probably more the place is so big. It's really an awesome place. I would say go if you want a weekend away and are from pgh. It's so much better than a hotel!!! It's top notch!”

“There's nothing actually wrong with the theater. It is attractive and clean. However it really needs updated seats that are comfortable. Two plus hours of sitting in a seat that doesn't recline or allow you to put your feet up is too much. My other issue with the theater is the cost of concessions which I found to be outrageous. A simple hot dog drink and a candy bar is $20.”

“I love the energy in this venue. I have been there twice and each show has felt wholesome.I like that they allow for certain walls to become a collective diary of those of who me have passed through the venue. There are many places where stickers are welcome to be stuck. The staff is nice and I would like the mention a particular thank you to this venue for supplying earplugs.”

“We had our wedding here in May of this year. The venue itself was absolutely stunning with the majority of our guests remarking that it was the most visually appealing wedding that they had attended. The venue coordinator, Wanda, assisted us with planning our perfect day every step of the way. On our wedding day she ensured that everything went off without a hitch. She was always prompt with her responses to our questions and very welcoming and friendly with our guests. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to wedding planning. The florist Suzie was absolutely fantastic and made the natural beauty of the venue even more spectacular.”
“The staff here was amazing but idea to say if you buy tickets on anywhere except for their website, they are fake: More pacifically the Pittsburgh theater!!! But the food and wine was amazing also!”
“Beautiful old theater with some history. Lucky to have it in our backyard. Nice place to listen to some music or watch an old movie or play some trivia while enjoying a cocktail and some snacks with friends and loved ones!”
