8AM - 10PM
2409 PA-286, Plum“Lisa, the manager, was so good to find the things I was looking for. She and her assistant manager (I forget his name) went above and beyond. Tons of school supplies. We will be going back again to shop soon. I was also impressed with the craft section.”
“at Aldi I have come to expect to see cilantro for 89 cents but just recently I noticed they started carrying parsley. Two types of fresh herbs they sell throughout the year! Product variety is very small. They carry one or two brands, often store brands, of something. Produce is good, fresh, and cheap, and except for the stockers' tendency to throw everything (apples, potatoes, mangos, into to the bin) which I have seen done at ALL stores in the Pgh area. They carry a lot of frozen vegan items, as well as things like cauliflower dough pizza, tofu, etc. I like their flexibility to open up a new lane (listen and learn, Giant Eagle). Prices are sometimes 30-40% lower than the Yost Blvd Giant Eagle up the street. Their cart area is always all trashed out and someone needs to be go there everyday cleaning up the area.”
8:30AM - 8PM
100 Aldi Dr, North Versailles“My cashier was really nice asked me if I found everything okay told me where to find something packaged my groceries nicely, let me know I left my key on the thingy where you put your groceries and lifted my box out of the cart to hand it to me with ease and I said you're strong and then I carried it like it was heavy.”
“I’ve never had any problems here people working here are always helpful. The have a Giant Eagle Pharmacy. I get all my scripts here. The Deli prices are reasonable and the international foods section is fairly large. I like certain products that only they carry locally. I do most of my shopping here.”
9AM - 6PM
4039 Monroeville Blvd, Monroeville“Large selection of meats, cheeses, sauces, condiments, etc. but I really love their deli section of premade dishes and baked goods. Highly recommend the eggplant roll ups, lasagna, pasta salad, wedding soup and hoagies. I always find something new to try and it’s good every time.”
“I choose to support Golden Dawn because they are a small business and not a corporation. We always buy their meats then other things. They do try their best to please customers and they have been, even with the new owners. Prices are to be expected a little higher than bargain-off brand grocery stores. I'll continue to give them our business.”
“Big, clean, with ample parking and inventory. Aldi's prices are quite reasonable, especially if you keep away from impulse buys. Don't forget to bring your own bags or boxes”
“I have been going to GE in Allegheny Township for the last 10 years. Most always a good experience but sometimes it does get busy and crowded. As any grocery store some items are too pricey but love the buy one get one free deals on the meats and other items. I always shop for the deals. The employees are always pleasant most of the time.(We all have a bad day from time to time) No issues with parking. My only complaint is the people who decide to stand in the isles and chat with no consideration to the shopper trying to shop. But that's anywhere. Most Everything I need in a jiff is there!”
“I've been to other stores for a lot of products and Walmart always has the lowest price. The employees are always so helpful and usually understanding. I definitely recommend this place.”
“Was looking for beef brisket (whole). Associate that helped me was very helpful and friendly. Was able to get two briskets I needed. Priced at 4.49 lb. Which is awesome.”
“I personally feel that this is the best local grocery store for quality produce. I think their prices are fair for what they offer. Their meats are also quality as well. I love to see that they do make accommodations for their employees. The only major downside is that they do not have a changing station in their bathrooms. I think for such a big store that is a huge downside.”
“If you're not from the area you're looking for a certain type of suspice for certain dishes, this is a good option. Stores very clean. I just wish that they carried some Caribbean seasonings as well by grace.”
“Best Pizza shop in Pittsburgh!!! Sicilianos’s has the very best pizza!!! If you’re not in the mood for pizza, they have some awesome hot hoagies like a steak and cheese, meatball or Italian. They also have other deli items like chicken salad or potato salad. Those are favorites of mine too. You can get fresh meet and cheese cut to take home. Take some fresh baked rolls or croissants home with you to put your lunch meat on or your chicken salad! Or pick up a pop, cappuccino, ice cream bar, slushie, or your lottery on your way home from work! You will love getting your lunch and becoming a regular customer from this great family run shop!”
9AM - 8PM
16 Federal Dr, Penn Hills“I really like that they put an Aldi's in Monroeville is convenient they were stocked with items that I use on a daily basis when some other stores do not have them the only thing I don't like is when you leave the parking lot you go straight out into traffic and sometimes it can be dangerous”
10AM - 2:30PM
307 Hulton Rd, Verona“So good! And Fresh! We usually get the battleship Italian hoagie. They have a nice takeout menu and are a small Italian market. I highly recommend ordering takeout and stopping in to shop their fresh market. A+Parking: Small lot but haven't had a problem finding a spot.”
“Nice, clean, smaller grocery store. Great place to go if you just need to run in for something or fill a whole grocery order. Their prepared foods are really good (my husband is a big fan of their fried chicken, and I like their pizza). Friendly staff, too.”
“There was no doubt to go to Scozio’s in Jeannette for my wedding cake! We always order our birthday cakes from there and they’re amazing! I called first and asked if it was possible to be done on short notice. The person who I spoke with was extremely helpful and suggested that I come in on Thursday at a specific time to speak with Mary because she’s their best! She was not wrong! I spoke with Mary who was very helpful! I showed her pictures from Pinterest of what I was hoping for and she blew it out of the park!! My wedding cake looked amazing and tasted amazing too! She made matching cupcakes that were so amazingly detailed also! The cake was one of the best that I had ever seen!! I highly recommend their bakery! It was an amazing experience!!”
4 AM - 7 PM
Al's Market, Braddock“The older gentlemen working inside were super kind, helpful and polite! Was the first-time ever going here despite driving past thousands of times, but will go back for sure just because of how nice the gentlemen were :)”
“As much as the newer owners try to make this place like a superchain supermarket, it falls flat. The prices are hiked too much. The new owners know that they depend on residents of the town that can't get to other stores, dollar general, family dollar, dollar tree, etc.So this place knows that they can upcharge, because the residents of this town, mainly the elderly population that can't drive or have any other means to get their necessities, will have no other choice but to come here. The employees are wonderful, except Gloria. She's a, well, she's a, See You Next Tuesday, yet for some reason, she's still employed after so many complaints have been lodged against her. I'm not sure. But I digress, honestly, I wouldn't recommend this place if you can help it and that's just fair.I went in for a box of toaster strudels and paid 2x the cost of what I would've paid at giant eagle. It's just not worth it unless you're purchasing tobacco products which are at state level requirements.”
“Started working as the new produce manager here at Brownsville road in mid August! Very excited and full of new ideas for this very busy store! This is one of the best stocked, clean and organized stores I've ever been in or worked in. Also the selection in every department is amazing ( if you can't find it here it's probably not available!!) The customers ( for the most part) have been very friendly and very sociable! Stop in and see us soon!!”
8:30AM - 7PM
3913 Old William Penn Hwy, Murrysville“Small grocery store with good prices on meat and poultry. They have a small counter for cheeses and hams etc...some deli items, frozen food, and sweets as well. They also have ice in bags at the very back of the store. I don't personally fully shop here because there isn't a large selection but I go if I am around and need something. It can get busy during weekends. There is a parking lot with spaces in the front, sides and back of Ferri's.”
9AM - 5:30PM
2000 Penny Ln Dr, Jeannette8AM - 9PM
106 Whitaker St, Homestead“SIR OR MAN THAT HAD BEEN PLANNING SOMETHING, ALL OVER NOTHING I NEVER, OR EVER WHO NEEDS HELP. BUT, THEY HAVE GRADUATED IN 1990 AS EVERY YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL ALL TEACHER'S TRUSTED DAVID M., BECAUSE HE HAS TOLD ONE LINE TO MAKE SURE THAT I GET MYSELF EVERYTHING.”
“I only needed a couple items, they were extremely busy...and they only had 2 registers open, however the cashiers worked their fingers to the bone with a smile on their faces and they were pleasant and all the customers were pleasant as well we didn't mind waiting.”
10AM - 6PM
705 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh“Excellent selection of Asian foods. They have some fresh veggies, meats, frozen dumplings, tangyuen, seasonings, endless sauces...They even have separate sections for several different countries, including some in Africa and the Caribbean.Prices are fair, and the owners are kind. They'll help you find what you're looking for, in addition to giving other suggestions like side dishes and new foods to try. They've been in the business for >40 years, so it's quality advice.”
“I love Monroeville Aldi! Everyone’s so friendly and everything is pretty well stocked and fresh at all times. Thank god they just added self scanners since the lines there can be so brutal, but I hope they work!!”
8:30AM - 8PM
1766 Golden Mile Hwy, Monroeville“Prices are definitely better than (for example) Giant Eagle for comparable products (e.g., chicken thighs being something like 40% less). However, the range of products is pretty limited (e.g., dried spices didn't include things like garlic powder, very limited produce, etc.).I'll go back for meats, but will definitely have to complete my shopping elsewhere on most occasions.”
9AM - 9PM
4415 Old William Penn Hwy, Monroeville“They have Colombian products, Ecuadorian and Mexican products as well, they got Pandebonos mix and the frozen one, also they got Pony MaltaThey have Colombian, Ecuadorian and Mexican products, they also have Pandebonos mix and frozen, they also have Pony Malta”
“The store quality is very good. My wife likes the size of the aisles although sometimes there are stock items not put on the shelves yet. She can still get a very good variety of different products.”
