“I was doing a plumbing job and needed a hose. As a contractor I was impressed with the hardware selection available. As the big box store was an hour away. Back at the job 5 minutes later. I'll have to take more time to stroll around next time.”
“Great plane to shop. Prices are very good although like any discount store, you have to watch the dates. Service has been friendly but the lines do get backed up so checkout can take awhile off it's busy”
“We love this little store. They have amazing fresh baked goods, fresh sandwiches, salads, and desserts. This is always a stop for us when we are traveling through the area. They have a nice selection of food items that you may need and their prices are not crazy.”
“It's quaint, it's friendly and it's a great spot for our community. Zimmerman's offers a discount grocery store that holds a lot in a relatively small space. It's run by good, honest people that work hard.”
“I just wanted to share how much the one employee (pretty woman, longer blonde hair, middle-aged, always there and seems to run the place) is so good to her customers. She is always so friendly and personable everytime I go. She makes that store great and seems to truly care for her customers. It's a brand new store and I'm sure there is a ton to do, but she always does amazing job. I wish I knew her name, it's 1/19/22 at 9 PM so I hope that helps if higher ups ever look at these. I NEVER leave reviews, but had to this time.”
“We ate here after a 6 mile kayak fishing trip. Homemade bread! Stromboli, Cheeseburger, Cheesesteak, Fries and a Fish Basket. All was fantastic! I highly recommend. We parked our trailer rigs at the park down the street and walked back to this place. If you are fishing the Juniata, you need to come here after! Best Cheesesteak I ever had, and it was packed with meat.”
“Went to this store because their baked goods and deli are absolutely fantastic. It’s an hour drive, plus have a great selection of food varieties. However when time to check out was sooo disappointed at how rude and inconsiderate the cashier was. Tried to ask get 3 questions and she totally ignored me. It was not a matter of not hearing because a lady was inquiring about the grape juice by the door as she was at the door and the cashier had no problem hearing her and engaging with her. Have never experienced this type of rudeness at this store before, but I will think twice before I go again to shop. The young lady with red cast to her hair and glasses may not be the best choice for customer interaction. The other individuals with us commented as to why do we travel that far to be ignored.”
“Special thank you to the Staff at Middleburg's Dollar General. After working 12 hours i stopped to pick up toilet paper and other items I needed at home, I was exhausted! The next day, did the same thing, but I needed gas but I couldn't find my wallet. I asked my husband, but he didn't see it, searched endlessly at work and home, but I couldn't find it. So at work the 3rd day, I retraced my movements when I remembered the toilet paper, soap and gatorade purchase, so I called them. The great Staff told me it was found and in their safe...what a great relief! I even said " God bless you, there are great people out there" After work I stopped to get my wallet, everything was intact, offered a reward, but she refused it. I just want everyone to know how great our Dollar General is! Thank you Tatum Walter and the great Staff in Middleburg's Dollar General! ❤️❤️❤️”
“I love the store itself, because it's one of the very few things left of the Mifflinburg that was around when I was a lil kiddo, even tho it's in Middleburg. I do wish they had Mifflinburg's recipe for their Chocolate chip cookies that were perfect!!! Big as a dinner plate, not soft but not rock hard either. Just the perfect 'snap' and the right amount of crumbs and chips!!! Sure wish they had it. ?I love the people that work here, and since my surgery, they all know me by name in the deli I believe. ? Some prices r a lil steep but always a good place for a smile.”
“Very convenient place to stop for snack type items. I’m go there 2-4 times a week. They need to get a few more employees that care about the place though. Too many of them are there just to clock in.”
“The Beaver Springs Dollar General moved across the street on Route 522 to their new bigger location. I did not know & so when I saw the original empty storefront, I was surprised until I glanced on the other side of the road next to the car wash, and there they were.
Has an expanded grocery section, more refrigerated and frozen items, and wider aisles.
Week of August 1-7, 2025 = Extra 50% clearance. Let the bargain hunting begin.”
“Have been a die hard fan of these chips all my life, love them always and I stand by them being the best chips I have ever had. If you truly want the full experience go to the factory and buy chips from the front office absolute difference experience with freshly made chips, can have no better A+++”
“This Dollar General is one of the nicer and larger ones I've been too. Fully stocked, clean store, and very pleasant and helpful staff.
I appreciate the large selection and variety of products they carry. Keep up the good work!!”
