Pet Supplies Plus State College
277 Northland Center, State CollegeI had a wonderful experience with this store, I was in a rush and had to get to the train station in a hurry. I initially got the wrong size carrier, they returned the money to my card without any words and generously helped me with the assembly process of my new hard carrier. Sorry I didn’t get the name of the nice cashier with gorgeous hairstyle, anyway thank you soooo much you helped me saved a lot of time!!!!:)

Learned a lot and I'm enjoying my aquarium. You can get anything you could possibly need for your own home tank, plus a good selection of fish and other aquatic life on sale as well. Won't go anywhere else in town for my home aquarium needs.

Wipe Your Paws Dog Grooming
555 Westview Ave, State CollegeKelly has been grooming our dog since she was a puppy and does a fantastic job. Kelly is super thorough and manages to calm our overly social dog down enough to groom her perfectly every time. I would not take my dog to anyone else in State College to get groomed.

Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital
200 Elmwood St, State CollegeThe technician, doctors and front desk staff, are friendly and nice. It shows they love animals, and want the best care for them.My old veterinarian took a month to get an appointment, even for an unscheduled appointment. My one cat recently had a medical issue, I was able to get her in at Mt. Nittany Veterinary. She needed surgery, that was done in 2 days.

Keystone Veterinary Care
1500 N Atherton St, State CollegeIt was my first time at this vet. The staff were all very polite and friendly and were able to give me a same day appointment even though it was my first visit. I waited about 3 minutes before they came to get me. I was very upset because my dog Milo was peeing blood. They took very good care of him. There was a small miscommunication regarding my bill and when they realized I didn’t have enough money for the medication they were kind enough to allow me to pay for it next month. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I don’t know what I would have done without them

1044 Benner Pike, State CollegeAs emergency visits go, mine went so much better due to the empathy, and care of the staff here. My dog was well cared for and the surgery went very well.
Cost is not low, but I was expecting it due to the nature of emergency services.
I would definitely recommend them.

All Pets Veterinary Wellness Clinic
434 West Aaron Drive Suite 204, State CollegeOn July 3rd, 2024 my little pug, Annie, had a complicated surgery performed at All Pets. She had preliminarily been diagnosed by another vet with mammary cysts, and another spay and neuter clinic refused to perform her spay because they didn't have the expertise to deal with whatever it was causing these two large masses on her abdomen. Well, Dr. Cruden figured out that the masses were actually 2 large hernias that involved her bladder, bowel and uterus. It was a big procedure, which was completely successful! Then he performed her spaying right then so she wouldn't have to undergo a second surgery. They care here. They are professional Herr. They are ethical and it's not all about the money. I HIGHLY recommend their services.

Centre County Cat Hospital
620 W Cherry Ln, State CollegeDr. Siems and her staff are beyond incredible. My partner and I have been taking our cats, Scout & Miso, here since we first moved to State College nearly 4 years ago. The compassion and love this team has for cats is everything we could have wanted and more when looking for veterinary care for our kitties. As we get ready to leave State College in the upcoming weeks, finding a new vet even half as wonderful will be huge shoes to fill. Thank you Dr. Siems and the entire staff of Centre County Cat Hospital for everything you do!

VCA Metzger Animal Hospital
1044 Benner Pike, State CollegeMy dog Onyx cut his tongue on something while playing fetch in the yard late last night, and it was bleeding pretty good at first. By the time I got to VCA Metzger, it was hard to see if Onyx was still bleeding because he wouldn't open his mouth. The staff here took Onyx back, quickly determined that he was okay and the bleeding had stopped, and then told me they were not going to charge me even for the visit. I really appreciated this as I was able to get peace of mind and know Onyx was okay and it didn't cost me a penny.

Chew Chew Bun
115 E Beaver Ave, State CollegeI have to say the egg tarts don’t quite live up to my expectations. They are served cold which is already not a good sign. The pastry feels overcooked, with the bottom rising too much, causing the custard to have overflowed during baking, but instead of being super crispy, it is rather hard and chewy. The custard is quite dense and sweet but the amount of custard is a bit stingy and there is hardly any extra aroma or taste to it. I was anticipating them to at least be as good as what I made myself at home. I also had a ham & cheese. The strongest flavor of it is Heinz ketchup and really, I believe anyone can roughly reproduce it even in a busy morning.

Centre County PAWS
1401 Trout Rd, State CollegeI've adopted two cats from here and I rescued a cat that was taken in here, and I can't find enough good things to say about this place. It's, by far, the cleanest & most well equipped shelter I've ever seen. The staff is so caring and friendly and they clearly work very hard to care for our unhoused fur friends. Very grateful to have this shelter in our community.
