He took to her right from his first visit, which included one of his favorite things, a long relaxing bath.Jazz had his second appt scheduled, but his health took a downturn, and he was going to be put to sleep. Barb agreed to move up his appt so he could have a spa bath, a fluff, and a trim.He was a happy, relaxed dog indeed, and I will always remember how content he looked when I picked him up from Trudy's ❤️

Their prices are very reasonable as well.
If you need an appointment, they can almost always see you within a few days or a week or so if you're flexible. And there have even been times where I've had a semi-emergency with my dog or a needed a short notice follow-up appointment, and they've seen me the same day or the next day.
They also do an excellent job of refilling medications. Anytime you call them, and get their voicemail, they will call you back promptly.
They've never dropped the ball. They have been 100% compassionate and reliable for the past 20 years of me and my family have been taking our dogs here.

199 Leader Heights Rd, YorkJust moved to York and wasn’t excited about finding a new vet. I found Leader Heights Animal Hospital through Google reviews and booked our first appointment online about two weeks out, easy process and no pressure.
Then in the gap before the visit, my dog Archie (wire fox terrier) ripped a dew claw and wouldn’t leave it alone. I called to ask what to do and they gave me phone advice at no charge, from a doctor. That alone earned a lot of trust.
At the appointment, Dr. Angie Cheek took her time, asked about the dew claw right away, and walked me through two reasonable next steps without pushing one over the other. She also handled his bordetella and the rest of the exam really thoroughly. We left with a clear plan and Archie was noticeably more comfortable.
We’ve been to multiple primary vets and specialists over the years, and this was the first time I got the bill and didn’t feel nickeled and dimed. If you’re new to the area or just looking for a vet you can trust in York, I’d recommend Dr. Cheek and this practice.

2615 Joppa Rd Suite 101, YorkIt was an informative visit, unfortunately they quoted too high for a full mouth extraction for over 5k with the aftercare. Found a local vet who can do it for a quarter of the price. Appreciate the diagnosis of Stomatitis .Vet was very knowledgeable. One lady at the front desk was very friendly and the other seemed a bit annoyed at my questions about results and medication. Thank you at the end of the day because I know what to do next to help my kitty!

I stopped by the place with one of my best friends in the area. This place is excellent (being the combination of a country store and a farm) & there seems to be more to do there as a visitor and a customer than just the shop itself.

And the pierogis were crispy, but still fluffy. Their bar staff was super attentive and friendly, the vibes all around were really great. We're from out of town, but this is definitely a place that's worth going out of your way to come to for lunch or dinner, or just to grab a drink and get back on the road.

There is a fence around the Haines Shoe House property, no sidewalk, and a bit of a steep hill on the side that shares the road, so walk carefully.

Brougher Companion Animal Shelter - York County SPCA
3159 N Susquehanna Trail, YorkAdopting our new family member was an amazing experience! We applied quickly online after going in during normal visiting hours to view available dogs and doing some research on the dogs on their website. We noticed how clean the shelter was and how the staff clearly cared for the animals. We also saw dogs being walked by volunteers, playing in outdoor kennelsand being given treats. We received a call within a day or so to review the application, discuss the dog and to make sure he was a fit for the family. A meeting was scheduled a few days out so that all family members could meet the dog. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Although the shelter was extremely busy that day, we interacted with several professional and knowledgeable employees and volunteers who helped us with the meeting, reviewing med information, completing paperwork, and taking pictures. It was such a smooth process and all of the employees and volunteers were absolutely wonderful and provided helpful tips for the first few days and months after adoption. After we got home, we more carefully reviewed the dogs history and medical record and noticed the extraordinary veterinary care he received during his 3 month stay at the shelter. Kudos to the YSPCA for all of the work they do with the animals to keep them well taken care of, getting them ready for adoption and working with adopters.
