I had some issues with one of my accounts over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.Shay Was relentless and doing everything she could to assist me. “I'm a former customer, who switched to another bank with branch offices and ATM's closer to my home. While trying to enroll in Zelle at my current bank, I was informed my email and phone number were already tied to Zelle with other banks. In order to enroll, I had to remove my email or phone from a bank where I have used Zelle. As a former customer, I could not access my info on their web site. I called Dean and spoke to Josh at the Blackstone office. He consulted with another department, and in less than 10 minutes Josh deactivated my phone number from Dean's records. I can now enroll with Zelle at my current bank. Josh was friendly, understanding, and very professional and it made my day to have this resolved so quickly without a trip to the bank. If my current bank does not work out, I'll return to Dean. Perhaps if they add more ATM locations or branch offices in the Millville/Uxbridge/Whitinsville areas, I'd be inclined to return. I had heard about Dean's great customer service, and I now understand why. Thank you, Josh, for your assistance.”

Needless to say, being reprimanded just incited my motivation to remove all my money and close my accounts at that bank. Recently, I called my “happy to help” bank again asking for assistance with an account. “Sorry, good people, its a popcorn one again. I've been meaning to share my thoughts about Washington Trust, for quite some time now. But, do to being so busy all the time, another day just slips right by, I'm sure many know that feeling. Now to get the meat, of this review. I'll start off by saying, I have only dealt with credit unions most of my life. Being, 67, that's a long time. I didn't trust banks, do to two episodes and issues, I had with banks, back in my 30s. About 5yrs back, I needed a small loan. And just down the road from me, was Washington Trust bank. So I took a chance with them. Well, I honestly can say, that Washington Trust, is a bank like know other. They truly treat you, with the up most respect. Making you feel comfortable not nervous or anxious. And they helped me greatly, in my time of need. Actually twice I had to make another loan. Both were paid off, as expected. One faster then the other. Scott, the branch manager, he's about one of nicest guys you could ever meet. May the smooth path, for the loans. I am still a member. I haven't took out any loans, recently, now that I had retired, from my work place. Now all that to say this. This bank, should be a top 5 to a 10 in my book. If others were to try banking here. They in a heartbeat would leave, their bank, to want to be a member of Washington Trust and this isn't just words.
