“Kathleen has been our go-to banker for years! We first met her at PCU in Apponaug, and she eventually transferred to Coastal 1, st Sockanosset Crossroads. We went thru a very precarious situation with checks that hadn’t cleared, on a large ticket item. Kathleen knew to step outside her position in order to help a longtime friend, and member of the credit union. She knew it would work out because she knows us! “I’ve had a solid experience with Eastern Bank overall. The customer service stands out the most—staff are generally friendly, patient, and willing to help whether you’re handling everyday banking or more complex requests. It doesn’t feel as cold or transactional as some of the larger national banks.
Their online and mobile banking are reliable and easy to use, which makes managing accounts, transfers, and deposits pretty convenient. I also appreciate that they have a strong presence in the community and seem to genuinely invest in local initiatives.
That said, there are a few downsides. Fees can catch you off guard if you’re not paying close attention, and some processes (like account changes or certain approvals) can feel a bit slower compared to more tech-driven banks. Branch availability outside of their core areas can also be limited.
Overall, Eastern Bank is a good choice if you value customer service and a community-focused bank, but it’s worth reviewing the fee structure and comparing it with more modern, low-fee alternatives before committing.”

“Second time now that I’ve gone there on the ATM didn’t work went out of my way to go. There went there in business hours on the way to a funeral. Then later I went to go to the one closer to me and Onville, but still out of the way and that one doesn’t let you go into the ATM after 10 o’clock at night but yet they’ll be unforgiven when I can’t cover my deposit for checks that are out worst bank I ever went with. I thought it would be a better experience in this I had them years ago in Block Island but it was only Bank you can get so I went with them and they were always decent so I gave them another try cause I never had a problem in the past but this time it’s not the same bank I don’t know how they’re the oldest bank in the country. They won’t be around for much longer. Looks like there’s other bad reviews besides mine. I do not recommend this Bank going back to Santander.”

“Clean, bright, friendly, efficient - lathe things you want from a bank. This branch is great; the staff are all friendly, the service is quick without being sloppy. There are two ATMs - a drive thru and a walk-up. Plenty of parking, although take note - everyone in the Village uses this lot as a place to park for anything in the village. Also, it's a busy little town for traffic, both pedestrian and vehicle, so exercise caution both entering and exiting the bank.”

“I've been with Santander Bank since 2008 They are Awesome excellence and quick service always.Very friendly and sweet with customers. Whenever I go to get a letter, make a deposit and cash a check every issue I bring to them is resolved. In April of this year 2025 some one tried to use my Bank Card took $273 they found out quickly it was a Scam and returned my money and changed my bank Card. They have great customer service they are all very professional and answer all my questions in a way that I understand clearly. Today I had the Privilege to be attended by Steph I needed a document she was very sweet and gave me what I needed.They are all amazing. They are all knowledgeable and well trained they can become leaders. I want to give them more than 10 stars. I definitely talk to family and friends about my favorite Bank Santander. So whoever is reading this try Santander Bank for yourself. You won't regard it. If it's Santander Bank it has to be Good! Thank you Santander for being my #1 Bank. Blessings.”

I cant tell you how thrilled we were with our last visit!!
The branch manager (Luis) was so incredible helping us open an account for my 6 yo grandson! He had saved money in his piggy banks for years and rolled all his coins to deposit into a new account, and Luis made him feel so special and grown up.
We also worked with a teller who made our deposit who was so sweet and nice!
I have been a customer since I was 15 (39 years!) and I am continually happy with my service most times I need to visit, but this visit was Above and Beyond all expectations!! Thank you Luis and staff!”
