“Has almost everything that I'm looking for. I no longer live on the island but it is nice knowing there is a place I can send my grandparents to when needed. I have been twice, separated by one year, and each time it has been pleasant with many options laid out in a very organized manner.”
“Great store with a full line of groceries. I've shopped there weekly on average since it opened. They have a lot interesting things you'll never find anywhere else. They'll special order things for you (like full cartons of chocolate bars, in my case).
I've noticed that for items like sunscreen, probiotics, liquid hand soap and vitamins the Green Grocer is often considerably less expensive than Amazon, sometimes half price. Amazon has now established market dominance (it's the only place you can buy many things) and is jacking up prices to rip-off levels.
This is the only store I know of selling sunscreen that doesn't burn your eyes (Badger is one brand).
They have a cooler shelf of wrap sandwiches (and normal bread) in a dozen tasty varieties. When I go on a trip I'll bring them for 3 days of lunches, plus another egg salad for breakfast while driving. It's quicker, less expensive and healthier than fast or ski cafeteria food.”
“This a true meat market with excellent selection and advice when needed. Prepared cuts of meat and everything you need to prepare an excellent dining experience. Friendly staff.”
“Absolutely loved my sandwich- had the Genova and added a chicken cutlet. It was delicious! Every ingredient was so fresh. Can’t wait to come back to try some of their prepared foods”
“Perfect. Smelled like a dairy farm, honor box, fresh milk. It's an amazing food experience.
Took me a second to see the Venmo username on the wall after realizing I only had $20s.
Im not 100% how its done, but add a QR code above the cash box and you guys are ?.”
“Lee's Wine & Spirits is hands down he best liquor stores around! They have a fantastic selection of wines, spirits, and craft beers, ensuring you’ll always find what you need. The customer service is top-notch, with Becky, Matt and Heather going above and beyond to make every visit a great experience. Whether you need a recommendation or just a friendly chat, they make you feel welcome every time. Highly recommend!”
“There isn't anything special about this store really. But whenever I need to go to a convenience store, this one doesn't disappoint. It has always had what I need when I need it. The bread is always fresh, and I believe it is local too. It also carries beer and wine. There are two reasons it didn't get five stars, I would like to see more of a selection of chips, and I know this is an impossibility because of space, but the wine selection could be bigger. The staff has always been friendly here, and will help you with anything you need to find. One more thing, your phone may not get any service inside the building, so don't walk in talking on the phone, because your call may get dropped.”

“If you like to save money, this is the best grocery store in town. Friendly and amusing staff (some even tell jokes). It is always a pleasure shopping here, and I could make a car payment on the savings. They just installed a self checkout, so hopefully, they will maintain their personal touch. Excellent job from these grocery store heroes.Update they seem to be maintaining their friendly service nicely, and the new self-service is functioning well”
“My rental car had a nail in the tire. I was lucky to find the only open shop on the island on Sunday, but unfortunately, they were fully booked. However, Mark was really warm-hearted and helped me put on the spare "donut" tire so I could drive to the nearest car rental station. Big kudos to Mark for his great help! The people of Rhode Island are great!”
“I’ve been going since I was born. Love this store and all the local products it stocks. If you want to enjoy yourself when shopping go here! Can’t wait for them to open their Bristol location too.”

“I like it a great deal lovely souvenirs. My only complaint is that it is not open unless a boats coming in or out. If you dislike this place because of the prices your very unfair it's an island it cost money to export to there. *Paul Domench*”

“Shaw's is a nice grocery store similar to a Safeway or Kroger's or Tom Thumb. They have a good selection of meals ready to eat as well as normal grocery items.”
“I came here multiple times while in Newport. They have many healthy food options and interesting finds. Their prepared foods are also very good and have a large vegan selection. Everything is clearly labeled.”
“We were in Aquidneck Island (which many people call Newport Island) and we stopped at this Dollar General to check out some of their inexpensive draperies for our beach cottage. I was surprised to see the large selection of standard decorative draperies and darkening curtains. I usually don't think of a dollar store for these, but I was glad that I had a chance to check them out. They had a good selection of sizes, colors and features. So, folks, if you are looking for inexpensive draperies, think about dollar stores like Dollar General to check their options and see how they compare to higher end, more expensive stores...if all you need is something basic, this might do the trick.”
“Sunday aug 25 1:51 pm store was busy needed hornet spray didn't want to drive to home Depot this location had in stock cashier was friendly and fast there was a long line..store was clean and organized tons of stuff, not a dollar store shopper but this store was nice and employees (cashier) friendly will be back”
“Ratings for BJs
Went to checkout and the young man with dark beard seemed angry bc I asked him to help weigh the peaches.he angrily retorted and mocked me by going over to the other customer and did a demonstration of what a “pack”was” and how I must have taken them out of the pack. Then he asked me if “I wanted them or not “ very direspectfully
I walked to speak to the mgr and he took the peaches working I’d J wanted them
Hopefully this is not a sign of what. To come
I e always had such a nice experience at BJS and let’s hope it stays that way!”
“Normal daily grocery store! Very nice workers!! They understood that we were one-time guests from the opposite end of the US and didn’t need a frequent shopper card. The cashier put in his card in for us to get the benefit prices. Very much appreciated him! All were kind and funny asking about Dallas Cowboys and comparing spring break dates and summer vacation dates from school. Easy to find the snacks and food we wanted for the hotel. If I lived there, I’d be a regular!”
“We used the pharmacy there. It was quick and easy, and the pharmacist was nice with a good sense of humor! I believe it would be my pharmacy if I lived there! The robot was a bit creepy, though! LOL”
“There are so many delightful things about Wilbur’s! Honestly, every need you might have can be satisfied with a visit here! Grocery items, hardware supplies, gifts, toys and clothes for you and your kiddos…I always find myself admiring the selections! Friendly staff, charming atmosphere-you must frequent this gem. You won’t be disappointed!”
