He plays the saxophone, sings, never takes a break except for a moment of silence for Elks who have passed, as they will never be forgotten.God bless all Elks.People are eating, drinking, singing, dancing, catching up with friends. They treat you like family. A great place to be.The manager & the bartender are top notch.C’mon down & join the fun. It’s worth the trip.”

“House tours were $8. The people volunteering are very nice! They do reenactments & weddings. The owner goes out of his way, the best he can to please every person. He is very kind and funny. This place is well kept up and historic history is well preserved and showing for people to see in great condition. I highly recommend this place for an event or for photographers to have photo sessions on. Lots of nice spots to take pictures. Photographers will be added to their vendor list if you'd like for future events. There are bridges, old stone walls, a pond, all sorts of beautiful trees and barn to take lovely pictures by. Plus the house has such charm for great photos. Big grounds for large events, with plenty of room for parking. About 23 acres I was told. I highly recommend this place!”

“Enjoyed the combination of flavors. Definitely recommend looking at the menu beforehand to familiarize yourself with the ingredients and know your selections. The ambiance in the cushioned seat area and service was also very nice. Highly recommend the toffee pudding.”

“I recently hosted my sister's baby shower at Maria's Cucina, and it was such an excellent experience! Chris, the owner, scheduled several phone calls with me to ensure we had everything planned to perfection prior to the day, which was especially appreciated as I was planning from out of state. Chris was always kind and professional on our calls, and had great menu recommendations- especially considering our group had unique dietary needs (vegetarian and gluten free). The day of the shower, the staff was also extremely kind, professional, warm, accommodating, and so helpful. The food was delicious (we had an antipast platter and salads to start; our entrees were gluten free carbonara, eggplant parm with pasta, and a chicken parm sandwich with french fries; dessert options were creme brulee (DELICIOUS), tiramisu, lemon cake, and cannolis) , and highly complimented by everyone in attendance. I would host an event here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much to Chris, and all of the staff!Vegetarian options: Eggplant parm was our go-to for the shower.Dietary restrictions: Carbonara was able to be made gluten free (gluten free pasta), and vegetarian option looked delicious - eggplant parm. :)Parking: Plenty of spots in a large, free lot next to the building”

“My now husband and I can’t recommend Easy Entertaining enough. Kaitlyn and Mike were absolutely phenomenal to work with, they were so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. They did such an amazing job setting up the reception area. Mike was so polite and attentive throughout the day. All of the guests were astounded by the excellent food, and how wonderful the entire wait and bar staff were. They truly made our wedding day magical. Thank you all!”

“This was my second time at the Waterfire Art Center for an event. This time I attended Little City Thrifty Vintage event. There were many vendors with beautiful vintage fashion clothing, shoes, decors that you could choose from or just walk around to meet many of the business owners to know more about their shops location if you weren't able to make a purchase at that time. I did a whole walk around.”

“My team and I came in for a quick meal before a film shoot not realizing this was more of a nice sit down restaurant. At first it was a tad embarrassing because we had to admit to the server that we were on a time crunch, which is a weird thing to say at a restaurant of this caliber. They IMMEDIATELY made us feel welcome, and our awesome server said he’ll get our meals in pronto. The food was delicious and their olive oil is to die for! Highly recommend this place! We made our film shoot and had great food in our stomach’s that sustained us all night!”

“We chose Millrace for my mom's celebration of life. It was a tough time for us, but Margaux made everything easy. It is a large space, with lots of light and a patio area if your guests need some air. Pricing is more than reasonable and the room also had a projector for photos and speakers to play our mom's favorite music. Margaux was so sweet and helpful throughout the whole process (was always an email away if we had questions leading up to our event) and the day of. Everything turned out beautifully and I will absolutely use Millrace in the future and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, affordable place to host an event. Thank you!!!”

“I don't leave google reviews often, but I feel like I MUST.Venture Cafe PVD has given me the opportunity to meet like minded entrepreneurial individuals within the ever-growing community. It is the place to go to learn new things, meet new people, and get involved. Reilly and Caroline go above and beyond to make sure that EVERYONE involved, from the vendors, the volunteers, and the attendees are all comfortable and accommodated to. They both create an environment that I don't think would be there without them. Thank you to everyone that is involved in Venture Cafe for creating a hub to help grow connect the local community.”

“I'm a long time participant (2 decades) in this great little hip spot...I've given full scale concerts in the garden, hosted their long running open-mic, played the open mic and participated in just about everything that this hip-spot has offered at one time or another. It is ideal as a small music venue, acoustic or PA, it offers the atmosphere of a listening audience. and easy to get to... I have a warm place in my heart for it's history in town and have only the best of experiences that I've enjoyed there...it's so much more than a coffee/tea house and a great place to catch a Java as well ... a must see in Prov. "Papa Angelo" Marinosci, Jr.”

“We had our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour on the Rooftop at the G and our wedding reception at the Ballroom at the Providence G in September 2023, and we could not be happier! We fell in love with the venue right away - from the beautiful rooftop to the spacious ballroom and gorgeous chandeliers, it's a really special city venue that's difficult to beat.During our outdoor ceremony, there were dark clouds rolling in and lightning striking in the distance. The moment once the ceremony was over and all our guests were safely inside the Rooftop covering for cocktail hour, it started pouring and our guests were able to enjoy watching the rain from within the glass walls and ceiling, which turned out to be one of the highlights of the night! The ballroom's elegant and minimal decor was perfect for our vision. The bar staff was quick and efficient, and we didn't have to worry about long lines at the bar. There was plenty of room for our 150 guests, and the dance floor was huge. It was a very hot and muggy weekend, but with the AC blasting, massive fans the team brought onto the dance floor, and the open bar, our guests didn't seem to mind.Lauren and her team were amazing, honest and upfront, and super helpful, responding to all my questions and concerns with reassurances and proposed solutions during the planning process and on the day of. Lauren's energy is so calming and she really made us feel comfortable and confident that she had it all handled. The team helped us stick to our timeline and pull off a surprise lion dance performance for our guests. We highly recommend this venue and this team to pull off your dream wedding!”

“Grace Pavilion is gorgeous-the room speaks for itself! The church if you book the ceremony in addition to the reception, is stunning in its own right. Definitely take a look to see how it is for your next venue search”

“Franchesca was a pleasure to work with while planning my wedding! She was very prompt with answering emails/phone calls and very attentive to details. I found myself to be very nit-picky as our date grew closer and when I had an issue with my bridal bouquet on the morning of my wedding she dropped everything and fixed it right away. She was very organized and honest with my expectations and quotes, and respected our budget--even came up with alternative ideas (i.e., instead of a floral arch at the alter, she suggested taller stemmed plants and placed tea lights on them, which looked gorgeous and stayed within my price range). She is so sweet and definitely has an adaptable vision. I wanted baby's breath flower crowns for my flower girls but I was was worried that one of them, my 18-month-old flower girl, would rip out her flower crown--Franchesca instead made a baby's breath hair clip for her instead, which stayed the entire night! She was also very knowledgeable about my venue, the Providence Public Library, which helped me be a little bit more decisive when it came to which areas I wanted to decorate with fresh flowers (helped cut the cost for me)! All in all, she's great at what she does, her website/social media absolutely reflects what she can do, and she can tastefully add a touch of elegance to your special day!”

“Tonight we held my son's graduation party here and it was absolutely perfect. Jodi the owner is so helpful and a pleasure to work with. We did a pasta station for dinner which was phenomenal. After we also had a sliders, chicken fingers and fried station for 2nd dinner incase the 1st wasn't enough. The bartender and all the staff helping serve we so sweet and wonderful. We chose the 1st floor level because you can walk right out onto the patio and sit to chill and see the stunning view. All in all tonight was amazing and I highly recommend Skyline for your next party or event.”

“Located directly in the heart of Providence, RI- it is about a 5min walk to Amica Pavillion and bridge connection to the mall as well. The hotel is big and has an old rustic feel to it. Rooms are decent size over looking the city. Guest services was friendly and helpful during our interaction. Swimming Pool/hot tub was not available. Parking is either $20 or $34.”

“Food was great! Chicken fingers and fries were crispy and flavorful. The bar service was sub par. The bartenders were not friendly and were not welcoming. It felt like it was such a burden for them to take our drink and food order.”

“I've been here for 3 1/2 weeks. My room is on the 7th floor with a view of the capitol -- lovely. I really love my room. A king-size bed and a cozy couch with a great reading light behind it. The location could not be better for walking the city. Perfect. They charge $30/day for parking, but so do all the other hotels downtown. Service is good! Super helpful staff. Everyone! One night I called the front desk around 11 pm asking about a new plastic liner for my bathroom garbage can. The desk clerk walked it up to my room 5 minutes later. (!!!) The free breakfast at their restaurant is better than the breakfast bar at a Hilton (see photo of today's breakfast). But there are a ton of awesome restaurants within walking distance. Have fun!!! In winter, there's a small park with a skating rink across the street. I've been really happy here. I hope you will be, too! Only drawback: a tiny fridge and no microwave in your room. Tip: you can ask the restaurant to store your salad or whatever in their walk-in.”
