“Rafter J Bar Ranch has to be one of the nicest campground in the USA! This place came recommend from so many people when asked for places to stay centrally located in the Black Hills and they all were right! We had an amazing site in the Ranch Camp section that backed up the forest and were greeted by the grazing herd. This campground is very close to Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer, and only a short drive to Sturgis and Deadwood. We stayed for 5 nights of our 4 week trip from NY and wished we planned to stay longer. Our CO2 detector went out on us and I had a new one delivered to the campground, and was delayed getting to SD, on the morning we were leaving they made a quick trip to their PO box in the morning and picked it up and delivered to our site. Just one example of their hospitality! Thank you for the great memories and hopefully we will be back one day!”

“I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. The room was neat and clean. The A/C-heat unit was quiet, a rarety amongst hotels. The furniture, while not new, was in great shape. No damage, etc. The service at the front desk was as good as one could expect it to be. The employees were helpful and friendly. The breakfast area is large and keep neat and clean. There is a 24-hour coffee machine in the lobby which has better coffee than that found in the rooms. Breakfast was always ready at the appointed time and well prepared. The location is great. It's centrally located to all the tourist attractions and to the attractions and restaurants in town. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.”

“Hotel was really clean and nice staff was friendly professional and really helpful location is convenient rooms are really nice and clean. Pools are nice and convenient one pool indoor and other outdoor also nice hot tub definitely going back to them…. Good rate for the hotel!!!”
