“Lately I usually come to this store once a week or so for chewies for my puppy. I can find everything I need, they even have the brand of food I feed both of my pups. My puppy is 4.5 months old & growing like a weed & I came in to purchase a hard crate for him & I went to ring out after an amazing employee helped me get it down & as I’m being told my total $180ish something dollars , the cashier looks at me & says “ you’re not going to keep him in there all of the time, are you?” - it caught me off guard & I began explaining myself that he is a baby & I use it for him to sleep in/ while I’m out of the house so he doesn’t get hurt etc - but honestly I really didn’t appreciate it being implied that I was going to neglect my baby while forking over more money to your store that I come to pretty often”

“While leaving the Alcoa/Maryville area, I see this Rural King. I had never heard of it until recently when I saw comments (positive) on a social media platform. I went in to check it out. Upon entering the door, you are hit with the popcorn aroma. They give you a bag for free. This aroma actually brought me back to my childhood entering a dime store. Anyway, this is family owned & operated. Had just about anything you would need. I was on a mission to find a owl decoy which they had in stock and half the price of Lowe's. I was pressed for time, but will definitely visit again. Would have received 5 stars, but staff customer service was subpar. The only one with a smile was the male cashier. Yes, they have a cashier and no self checkout. (score!)”
