“We were very fortunate to get the last turkey they were selling. Then, due to a miscommunication, it was not available when we went to pick it up. The owners very graciously traded their own turkey for ours, making for a delicious smoked Thanksgiving turkey.
We are all human, and sometimes, errors happen that could have a significant impact. But, they went out of their way to make sure we did not experience the consequences of this error. Love their products and the service was above expectations.”
“We're from Macon County. We used to shop at our local Walmart online pickup until the last few months. I'm immunosuppressed due to the disease I fight. Every time my husband would bring home our order from there, I would get very sick.
My doctor had him try Microbaning the bags of groceries before bringing them in the house. But even that didn't work.
When we made our first order with Food Lion here in Cookeville, our experience was very different. Our online grocery order didn't make me sick. It was a wonderful feeling. Finally finding a grocery store that didn't cause me to get sick due to being immunosuppressed.
But it was more than that. Our vegetables were fresh and didn't soften and go bad after a day or two. Saving us money..
Our groceries were brought out to us in brown paper bags and packed just like they used to be back in the 1980s. Meaning our items didn't roll around in the back on the way home, smushing softer items. Our groceries stayed in place and protected.
We also had a personal shopper who kept in contact with us during the order pick, allowing us to choose other items if the one we wanted was out. For someone like me, who is disabled and not able to shop in store, it made me feel involved.
Yes, we have to travel about an hour one way to get here, but the experience that Food Lion gave us, and that fact that I don't get sick from our groceries, our trip is completely worth it.

“Well all I can say is it Save-A-Lot they all smell bad every time I go in there I don't know what they clean with but to me it stinks but anyway with that being said they have what I need I think the prices are going up pretty exponentially but then so is everything else out here so I can understand why but they got a decent choice this app's always been friendly and kind”

“I absolutely love this store!!! The staff is friendly and take the time to answer questions. They wanted to make sure i found what i needed, took the time to show me where things were located and even informed me of the DG app where i can see my home store, check what's in stock, and digitally clip my coupons, entered my phone number and Voila instant savings! They always greet me when i come in, the store is well maintained. And even keep the store stocked as best they can. I've been to neighboring DG stores but this one is by far the best hands down!”

I went looking for Believe ( home brand) mascara- got it, & Rexal's Black Cohosh, found both plus bonus buy, they had Believe's Nearly Rose Lip Liner ( most popular color) bought it all. “Great prices, great brands, and always has the freshest bread. Aldi has the best prices on milk, bread, and eggs in the Cookeville area. Fresh fruits and vegetables are usually pretty good daily. They also have the BEST milk chocolate bar with almonds along with a 5 pack chocolate bars with hazelnut pieces.”
“Was in town for an appt and decided to stop in here to see if I could get a few things for the upcoming holiday menu. They have alot of options to choose from and all the prices are clearly marked so you know what yoir budget can handle. I purchased several bulk items that will help get us thru the holidays and making some food preparation a little easier. The store was very clean, I had no wait in line to check out, and the associate was very sweet. We will definitely stop in again to shop the next time we are in the area.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have several handicap parking spots and the entrance and aisles are wheel chair accessible .”

“I want to say thank you to the most awesome cashier I have ever met. I have the Dollar general app I love the app I always save money with it no matter what but tonight she was awesome. The stuff that I bought normally would have cost over $100 she helped me coupon this to where I paid like $50 for $100 worth of stuff. I got a total of $47 or more just in coupons from my website and the coupons that she helped me with. I will forever be grateful to her because right now money is tight for everyone and she made my day doing what she did and she was patient and nice you couldn't have asked for anyone better.”
“my son works at this location and provided his store supervisor, Tyler Smith with 2 positive at home covid tests. Tyler insisted the tests were not positive even though the tests CLEARLY indicate he is. Tyler told my son it's DG policy that he go to the doctor against cdc recommendations that he quarantine since he knows he has covid. Furthermore, his doctor won't allow him to come in office with 2 positive covid test results. Tyler went as far as to send the local sheriff's department to my home this morning to tell me I am banned from this store because I advocated for son to not be bullied by his supervisor. I have spoken with Tyler's superior who has all the evidence of Tyler breaking federal work laws today. Shoppers at this location beware....while my son doesn't necessarily need this job other employees there may and as t stands now, Tyler is demanding that all staff with at home positive covid results show up for their scheduled shifts or risk losing their $10 an hour job. Tyler, you can suck my dick”
“Milk is cheaper than walmart, snacks easily available but more expensive than walmart. The people are SO friendly. I'd avoid the bread as it tastes like laundry detergent. I don't know what happened but it's ew. They have ice cream, a huge wall of soda, snacks and donuts in the bags too. There is a TON of laundry detergent and cleaners. Good supply of cold and cough and you can pick them up after Walmart closes too which is SO nice right now. Oh...there is a RedBox outside too.”

“This Kroger in Cookeville, Tennessee is your typical Kroger grocery store with everything you might need for groceries or home care. They also have a pretty extensive wine section - if that's your sort of thing! ? The store was very clean and well stocked I was able to pick up everything I needed and - and I found bubbly water! I feel like this is one of the first places in Tennessee I've been able to find it! My thirst has been quenched thank you so much!”
