“I can't recommend Foot Locker enough. Let me first say I initially stopped at JD Sports, the store was crawling with people, and the floor staff didn't know much except the price of product. I let them know my budget, and I tried on a pair of Nike Air Max and felt like I was walking on an egg carton. Zero intention of purchasing or increasing my budget. I politely told the guy I'd look around and let him know. That's when I went to Foot Locker. The store was empty, minus Datorrien. He took the time to understand my shoe needs, wants, and budget. The first pair he recommended, they didn't have in my size so I tried a half size small - but he also brought a secondary pair in my size of a newer model. The moment I put that shoe on I knew this man understood the assignment. I didn't hesitate to spend an extra $60 over my initial budget due to his professionalism, knowledge, honesty, and attention. I ended up walking out with the perfect pair of shoes that fit my needs with zero remorse. I couldn't be happier with the experience - especially in contrast to JD Sport. The outdoor retailer plans to open a 100,000-square-foot store in College Station, Texas, in 2028. It'll sit along State Highway 6, north of William D. Fitch Parkway, next to a Costco and in front of the future South College Station baseball and softball complex. On Sept. 24, the College Station City Council approved a $10.84 million sale of 28 acres in a unanimous vote. Bass Pro gets about 14 acres for its store. Dallas-based Corinth Properties will build a mixed-use project with restaurants and an event plaza on the other 14.
