“Feeling that post-Christmas urge to escape the house and alleviate our cabin fever, we happened upon Johnston & Murphy while walking around the mall in Cool Springs. We found extraordinarily helpful employees who allowed us to shop without badgering us, but who were simultaneously engaged and able to answer any questions we had. Before too long, I had three completely new outfits from head to toe, some of which were on sale at very reasonable prices.
Johnston & Murphy never lacks quality clothing and shoes. Even this cozy little store packs a lot of merchandise into a small area, with an extremely impressive selection of shoes. We thank the kind, welcoming employees and a very well-run business for an incredibly pleasant experience!”

“Both locations are great! The owner Debbie & her staff always go above and beyond to help me. Tonight, a friend and I went in about 20 minutes before the store closed. The sales clerk was Mabry & she was not only helpful, but encouraged us to try items on. She told us that she closes at 7:00 but was not in a hurry. We ended up leaving around 7:45! She was so awesome!”

I know nothing about fashion and had to find clothes for a black tie wedding. She was so quick to offer advice, scouring the store for dress that would work. “Had an awesome experience today. Went in looking for some Hokas on sale (I’m dumb and didn’t realize they only sell them online) and told the two ladies that were helping me that I needed something to help with back support because I walk all day for work. They suggested the Asics puregels and boy did they not disappoint. I walked probably 6 miles today and I can’t even tell. Thanks again!”

My daughter is in between sizes and very picky.
Natalie went above and beyond in helping my daughter find the perfect shoes and even found her some matching Pokémon socks! She was so patient and helpful.

“This was my first visit to this store in Cool Springs — actually drove my senior mom here to shop — decided to walk inside & shop myself. I was pretty impressed with the wide variety of major brands that I have worn or thought about adding to my collection. Looking through the lens as a grandfather — I paid close attention to the selection of styles & brands for active toddlers & school-age kids. I snapped a few photos to send to my daughter that lives in Middle Tennessee to show her the breadth of choices for her two kids. The store was clean and fairly clutter free. It’s obviously designed as a large wide open space with long aisles divided into style and gender. It’s purposely long on self-serve shelving with top shelf displays for the shoes — and short on big visual merchandising displays with realistic mannequins. Guess that’s where the warehouse in the name comes in. There is a relatively small checkout area with 3-4 registers near the front door. Plenty of parking in the large shopping center off Mallory Lane near exit to I-65 in Franklin.”
“It's a decent score, the prices were good (I was hunting for a suit). Not a lot of staff walking around which is a good and a neutral thing. Little work to find someone when I needed them, but I prefer to peruse alone so that's mostly a positive thing. Clean as you would expect.”

“I honestly don't know where to start. my daughter and i came in on a Friday night an hr before they close. we were looking for pageant dress last min. (her pageant was the next day) the person that asst us she was EXTREMLY!!!! helpful. she was the sweetest person towards my daughter and made her feel important that's a plus. she immediately was looking for dresses for my daughter. unfortunately, nothing seems to work for my daughter. I was to the point where I almost had a nervous breakdown, and my daughter was about to quite because we didn't have a dress. I talk to my daughter motivated her on NOT! to quite that I was going to figure it out and she was doing her pageant! while all this is happening the person that was helping us, she continued to look for dresses. I ask her if they had any silhouettes slips available? she said off course. (mommy had an idea) at this point their lights were turning off and we were the only ones there. I ended up purchasing the slip (on top of all that she gave a small discount). I was going to say her name but if she reads this, she knows exactly who she is. I just have to say you're an ANGEL send by God! your such an amazing person! I will never forget how amazing you were and how patient, loving you were with us. my daughter loves you! please continue to be that amazing! I pray for you and all your family!
