We walked in and Fia automatically received love and nurture from the staff. They provided great tips, advice, food options, and personal experiences. We spent almost an hour in there because of how helpful the staff was . Every last one of them. Hollywood feed is great but this specific location NEVER fails to amaze me.

320 Monroe Ave, MemphisMutt Island is incredible! Stan and his staff are so friendly, and have a really easy system for picking up and dropping off our dog. Our dog loves going here, and two days a week really helps supplement his normal daily walk because he gets so much exercise playing all day with other puppy friends. Our dog is also really nervous around people when he first meets them, but they go the extra mile and work hard to gain his trust (they called it peanut butter therapy!). They also offer boarding, which we just used for the first time since adopting our dog, and we're extremely happy with everything they do. If you need a doggy daycare, Mutt Island is the place for you!
Update 5/4/26 - Mutt island is still the best! We've boarded our dog there many times, AND we increased his daycare to 3 days a week a couple of years ago. It's really nice having a place we trust who can help take care of our dog, especially on rainy days!

Mrs. Lee took the time to explain to me how and why my son was terrified of getting groomed. Not only was my baby extremely comfortable around her and the staff but he smelled AMAZINGGGGGGG for weeks. I can’t wait for his next appointment!!

We come in monthly for flea and heartworm prevention, as well as nail trims - which do not require an appointment. They are open 7 days a week and if your location doesn't have open appointments, they can get you in at another location. I like the online portal, too. We love Dr. Cozzarelli! We have 1 outdoor cat and 3 rescue dogs.

We had invisible fence installed and my world changed. I can leave them outside while I work from home and they stay! The installation was quick and then Jeff walked the property line with me and one of my dogs. I swear I only walked her around maybe 2 more times and that’s all it took. This is the best thing we have spent money on. It may be pricey but it’s worth the peace of mind it gives you. No more worries about them getting in the road and getting hit. If you’re “on the fence” just do it. You won’t regret it.

She’s up to date on all her shots and when I got there, they said they required a new kind of vaccination. I drove 30 minutes and did not get any heads up about this and now I’m stuck trying to figure out where to drop her off. Completely unprofessional.
*Update* I initially left a 1-star review after my dog was turned away at check-in due to a vaccine waiver issue that I was not properly notified about beforehand. The experience was frustrating and was made worse by how one newer staff member handled the situation, which did not reflect well on the business.
However, management later reached out personally, apologized, took accountability for the communication issue, and addressed the situation professionally. The last two visits with other staff members had actually been great, so I’m updating my review to reflect both the negative experience and how management handled it afterward.

Their portions are generous. The food always comes out fresh. They have a diverse menu option. And the service is always excellent. My favorite restaurant in Memphis by far!!
I usually get the chef’s special spicy sour golden beef soup and I’ll usually have extra to take home for leftovers. Although you really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Their pork dumplings in the chili oil has the right amount of spice, numbing spice, sour. Another fantastic dish is their boiling soup dish with the Szechuan peppercorns. It’s a unique dish that not many places can do right and Petals is on the money. I love this place and they’ll continue to be my go-to restaurant while I’m here!!

Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County
935 Farm Rd, MemphisI had contacted the humane society regarding a very pregnant stray and they directed me to Memphis Animal Service. I was worried because a storm was coming and it was way too cold for this dog to give birth outside. The dog was picked up as it was giving birth later that day. I was very happy with the attention and fast action on this situation. Both my son and I had adopted dogs from the humane society in the past 2 years. It is a wonderful part of the community.
