“We were stranded on side of I-40 our jeep broke down on side of highway. We called Napa, Advanced, ect.. and no one had any of the items we needed to tow our Jeep home. We called Harbor Freight and the young sales lady knew exactly what we needed and actually had it in stock and all other supplies: drop down hitch, 2-inch ball, ect.. and they had it all including wireless tow lights!! It was awesome all in one place. All of the employees were great and stayed open a little bit later so we could get all of the items we need super great folks and experience. We were able to hook everything up and got on our way. Thank you guys for being our saving Grace. God Bless you and Thanks again!!!”

“There’s an employee named Magic (Mike), who was absolutely phenomenal. He spent extra time to help teach me about an outdoor faucet I was trying to fix that wasn’t turning off. He was very much a “dad type” but absolutely patient and wonderful explaining it all to me. Never once made me feel d*** or silly for not knowing. He was helpful and kind. The kind of person who obviously wants a customer to succeed in fixing whatever they are trying to do. I wish more employees were more like him.”

“There is a cashier named Tonya. A senior lady who is the rudest and most unhelpful worker I have ever encountered at an Ace store. I am a loyal Ace customer and recently moved to Amarillo. I quickly needed to shop at Ace having just purchased a home. I must give this rating in order for her to be coached on the excellent service Ace is known for. Hopefully she is trainable by you can’t fix misery! That said the other staff is as amazing as I am acustom to at any Ace store. Therefore my rating will increase from a 1 for her to a 4 for the benefit of the other great staff including the Gorg. Pup!!”
“Great product and selection for a smaller hardware/garden store. All employees were super helpful and friendly with the exception of the gal working in the garden shop. Wasn't able to answer one question she asked as she told us to go inside and ask at the counter. We didn't let this gal ruin our shopping experience as everyone else was fantastic, especially the red haired gal that working at the registers/service center. We bought several furnature items, pavers and plants and were assisted in loading by two young men who were fantastic. Will definitely shop here when we make our way in from Tucumcari to Amarillo in the future”

I had been to several other shops over the past several days, none of which, welcomed or had shown the interest as did this location. “Drove from Guymon to Amarillo yesterday 2-15-2026 to pick up material for our deck. Had several carts full of lumber and other items. Was standing by the register when they were ringing everything up and I heard the guy call out the number of all the items I had picked up. Every thing he called out was exactly what I had loaded on the carts. A little over 2000 dollars worth of items. The 2 guys pushed all of the carts outside and loaded everything on the trailer for me. I tied it all down and headed home. Wasn't until we were a few miles from home when I noticed on the ticket I was charged for 48 2x4x12s instead of the 24 I picked up. I called the store at 8am this morning and the guy told me he would look at the cameras and get back to me. Hopefully they call soon. I wish I had looked before we drove off but I knew the total was going to be close to the 2000 dollar mark and I heard him say 24 2x4s when he was scanning everything. The help loading everything was great and as soon as they make this right I will give them a 5 star rating. They called me back Wednesday afternoon and had already credited the amount back on my card. The guy was super nice and apologized for the mistake and for not getting back with me on Monday after I called. Great customer service”
“We were looking for lumber for a home project when we spotted a piece that was used, but would be perfect. Three employees were busy unloading, but one turned to help us, James. We asked how much for it and after measuring he said we could just have it. He walked to the front of the store with us to clear us. A truly kind gesture and experience at this store in Amarillo.
