“Is there a 6th star!? CrossFit SoChac has changed my life, and that’s not an exaggeration. I was going to the gym daily and getting it done, but feeling like I was only getting 60% of my full capacity. A friend recommended SoChac, and I’ve been hooked since the first class. Top shelf coaches. World class people. Family-owned and operated. Fueled by the community. What more could you ask for?
If you ever even had the thought to try CrossFit before, be prepared. Walking into SoChac for the first time won’t be your last time. Guaranteed.”

“I love the variety of group classes this gym offers. The coaches are awesome and everyone here is genuinely kind. The whole atmosphere just feels good - supportive, motivated, and welcoming. And the mix of class options keeps things fun. Super glad I found this spot ?”
“Great gym! Loved the 6am group training class. We almost always had our own squat racks, which was very nice. The coaches were very nice and helpful; programming was challenging and effective; and the other members were very welcoming! I travel full-time, so I have to switch gyms every month. This gym definitely sets a high standard for any future gyms I go to!”
“Big Tex is where I primarily come for training with my trainer. Every time I’m here though, it just feels like home. Everyone, staff and members, are so friendly. This place is unique, it’s about community and lifting, and many things in-between. Easily one of my fav gyms in Austin.”
“I’ve been training with Coach Nate for almost 2 years now, and I genuinely can’t say enough good things about him. He consistently shows up, listens, pushes me when I need it, and somehow makes working out 3 times a week something I actually look forward to.
He’s helped me get stronger physically and mentally, while always adjusting to where I’m at and what I need. Nate has a great balance of encouraging and challenging you, and it’s obvious he truly cares about his clients and their progress.
I’m stronger, healthier, and more confident because of the work we’ve done together, and I’m really grateful to have found a trainer I trust this much.”
“Love this crossfit. Jared always makes sure to run through the workout and movements so no one is left out and always willing to help. Great community and good workouts!”
“Loved the flow of the workout. Clear and succinct instructions from the coach through mobility, warmup, strength, and workout. The coach worked his way around the whole class giving individual attention where needed. Great facility and staff experience for me. Will come back.”
“Hands down the best CrossFit box in Austin. My partner and I just moved from Idaho and the most stressful part of the move was finding a new gym. The moment I stepped into this box, I knew it was home sweet home! Also, if you are looking for some nutrition help… this box has an EXCELLENT nutrition program!! Such a phenomenal place! I have felt welcomed and loved from day one! ? ?”

“Gameday is absolutely AWESOME! This is a olympic lifters paradise, deadlift stations, oly platforms, racks, calibrated plates and more! I was visiting Austin and wanted to drop in, the process was super easy and the manager was super friendly. Its a large space so you have plenty of room and just every detail is thought of. Will be back anytime I come back to Austin, wish I had a Gameday where I lived!”
“The class sizes are small enough to get personal attention from the coaches while still being super energetic. I love the class formats, a 50 minute class goes by in a flash! Overall 10/10 recommend. You’ll have everyone from trained athletes to a first timer in your class so you’re never out of place!”
“Have been a member a little over a yearIf you like engaging classes, this is the place for youThey have a lot of kettlebells and deadlift areas. They're constantly getting new machines. The gym is very organized, and even though it's pretty busy consistently throughout the day, there are other rooms for you to still get your workout done if classes aren't your thing. The new extended hours are great. I believe they added equipment outside to even get that grizzly heated workout done. The staff are always great and very helpful for anything. The ig community board is helpful for constant gym or event updatesMy only complaints are the constant smell in the gym and the stagnant water smell in the cold plunge sauna area.”

“This place is INCREDIBLE. You learn so many new workouts and work so many muscles than you ever would from going to a gym by yourself. It’s basically personal training but in a small group setting. I’ve only gone to 20 classes so far and the results are outstanding. Very grateful and happy that I started going here.Kim and Fabiola are my favorite trainers. They’re the only ones I really go to tbh. Their workouts and the way they engage with everyone is top notch. Not trying to throw anyone else under the bus but they really are the absolute best that I’ve experienced so far, especially for newcomers.Get the 14 day trial for $50, it’s 100% worth it and worth checking out. Ended up canceling my $30 monthly membership at Planet Fitness and am now doing $150/month for HEAT and I have zero regrets. That’s how good it is. I never got these results at another gym by myself and reserving a class makes you feel more accountable for going so I appreciate the extra motivation.I would 100% recommend.”

“I first started going to MADabolic in 2019 in DC and Northern Virginia and when I moved back to Texas two years ago, of course I signed up at the Austin location (typically go to the South location). This gym is THE BEST! I really appreciate that the coaches get to know everyone on a personal level, watch form, and care about technique. It's not about cranking out the movements but actually completing them in a thoughtful way. And because they know us, they know when to push us and bring heavier weights (good and bad lol).I'll also say it's like a chosen family in the way everyone looks out for each other and other small, local, businesses. I've made wonderful friends. This vibe is definitely my tribe!”
“It took me trying five different gyms in Austin before I found and stuck with Lumos! Everyone was extremely welcoming from day one. The coaches are the most observant and thorough coaches I’ve ever had, and the programming is challenging but scalable. I came in with a back injury and knee pain but was able to jump right in because the coaches listened to me and helped me modify. I love all of the social opportunities, like the question of the day and the various social committee events. I have found my new community in Austin and I’m extremely grateful!”
“Such a great experience and a fantastic workout. They were so kind and accommodating to me as a novice, and I noticed all body types were welcome and seemed very comfortable in the atmosphere. It was a great, multi-functional workout with barre, yoga, small weights, and cardio, but they also provided alternatives or adjustments for those who needed them. Loved it. If I wasn’t moving, I’d be getting a subscription!”
“Love this place. My son does drop in classes and one of the 8 week development programs. I really appreciate the coaches helping the kids to push beyond their limits. Its really amazing to see these kids try, and try, and try again....and by the end of a session they have overcome the challenge.Coach Antwan was especially fantastic in connecting with my kid and pushing him to keep at it.”
“If you’re looking for a coach who can simultaneously make you laugh and regret every life decision that led you to burpees at 6am — look no further, Daniel Gatewood, the white Viking, is your man. Just when you think you can’t do one more rep, he appears out of nowhere with the perfect mix of encouragement and disappointment that you’re in the verge of quitting.
Besides Daniel, a fan favorite, each coach knows your name, your weak spots, and probably your plans for the weekend, but they use their powers for good — pushing you just the right amount and always with a laugh. If you’re not afraid of sore muscles and being gently roasted for waiting 10 extra seconds to start a new set, this is the place for you.”
“This is hands down my favorite Hotworx in the area (and I’ve visited them all!). It’s incredibly clean, which is really important to me. Everyone who works here is wonderful, and they genuinely want to help you reach your fitness goals.
The Hotworx concept is fantastic and so good for overall well-being. I love the workouts, but on rough days I’ll sometimes just go in for a light stretch or meditation - the infrared sauna instantly lifts my mood. I also love being able to go in whenever I want; not having to stress about specific class times makes my days so much easier.
I’m so grateful to have found this location!”
“Dropped in at CrossFit REP and had an awesome experience. The coaching staff was welcoming, the programming was solid, and the community made it easy to feel right at home from the moment I walked in. Great energy and atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Austin.”

“Came here for over a year when I lived in South ATX before moving abroad. Instructor shows you a routine and you repeat it on the bags. Some trainers may have variances like coming around with pads to work with you one on one, a HIIT-like circuit built in to class, etc. You have a lot of regulars here and gives you a feeling of community. Classes sometimes will get full so make sure to book a spot on the app. Mall parking can get crowded though I never had trouble getting a spot despite class being full.”
“I dropped in to the friendliest box I’ve encountered on the road. It’s clean, the people are welcoming, and the music is great. Coaching staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. If I lived here I’d call this box home.”
“Just moved to Austin, and this is easily the best gym I’ve joined in years. Super clean, I’ve never had to wait for a squat rack, and everyone here clearly takes pride in the space. Weights always put back neatly. No BS. No influencers. Just people getting after it. 10/10, highly recommend!”

“Voodoo CrossFit makes you feel like your home. From the moment I walked in there was no pressure, no ego, just a friendly face with a smile. I have done CrossFit for years and walked away for a little bit. Coming back I knew I had to pick not only the right gym, but the right community. That’s exactly what I found here. Legitimately friendly, welcoming and just down right good people. It was like finding a home again. No matter what stage in your fitness journey you’re on or at, Voodoo has a place for you. No judgement or shame, just really cool people working out and enjoying life together. Finding a community like that is rare so if you’re looking for a place to call home, you’ll find it at Voodoo!”

“I recently joined this CrossFit gym and it’s been one of the best decisions for my fitness journey. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely care about your form, progress, and overall well-being. As a beginner, I really appreciate how they modify workouts to match your ability—so I never feel overwhelmed or out of place. They also offered a free class before signing up, which gave me a chance to experience the vibe and coaching style with no pressure. Every class is challenging but achievable, and I leave feeling stronger and more confident each time. The community is welcoming, the workouts are well-structured, and I’m so glad I found this place. Highly recommend!”

“Hello everyoneI didn't have any money for the club tuition and I applied to several places and none of them responded to my greetings. But instead, the honorable management of the club accepted my request with open arms and I saw nothing but respect and love. May God protect you and Bless your businessWords can't describe your generosity.”
“Over the course of the last couple months I have sort of become a Wednesday night regular at an Austin Dive bar that has a pole within an airstream. Naturally, I have managed to make a group of friends and they happened to have taken a few pole classes in the past. On those nights it has become common practice for them to demonstrate a move or two and then let me practice.
Through these friends encouragement I decided to attend a pole class at Brass Ovaries. Pole 1, with Casey and it was a great experience. I was a little nervous going into it but the vibe was super chill, and felt safe. Learned proper technique on a few things I had tried before and also picked up new stuff. Music was on point!”
