βIt is hard for me to imagine an Ace Hardware anywhere that could be better than my local store in Hurst, Texas. Iβm a single mom, live paycheck to paycheck, and homeowner for almost 20 years. The amazing humans here have ALWAYS come through for me. Iβve been in there countless times with tears running down my face because I have a problem that Iβve convinced myself will cost me thousands of dollars. The men working here are EXPERTS and take their time with me to ensure Iβm not overpaying, they go the extra mile to clean my threads of plumbing stuff, and walk me through what I need to do when I get home. The best way I can describe it here is that my dad is giving me advice and calming my anxious soul. I love it here! I feel so seen and supported. Donβt ever change a thing. I love this team!β

βOur stove went on the fritz at home and we bought a new one from Loweβs. We all know how important a stove is so instead of paying for installation and waiting a week for it to be delivered, we opted to install it ourselves.
As my luck normally goes with anything around the house there are always several trips to the hardware store. I needed new fittings for the gas regulator and couldnβt use the old one because I couldnβt get it out. So off to our local Ace Hardware. Jeff and the other gentleman working in Plumbing were fantastic. They found the right fitting and also told me the right βTeflonβ tape to use for the fittings. Iβm glad they did because I had no idea that the Teflon tape I bought there an hour earlier wasnβt the right type of tape for what I was doing.
After I got everything put together, installed, etc. one of the mounting brackets had fallen inside of the range and it couldnβt be recovered. So back to Ace we go and we talk with the gentleman from Plumbing again. He tried to help us find something similar to secure the range to the counter, but we all came out empty handed.
Everyone there is always so helpful. Though more expensive than Home Depot or Loweβs, I will always pay extra for kind, friendly and polite people who go above and beyond to help customers!β
βI walked into Ace Hardware in Grand Prairie, TX today to get 2 coat hooks of a specific size that the big box stores didn't have. I was greeted right away by an associate and shown where the hooks were. Together, we measured the holes to be sure they were the right fit. Perfect! I was in & out in under 10 minutes. I'll hang it soon..β
βI just bought a 37 cent screw at Ace Hardware. They were loose so I only had to buy one not a whole packet like at Home Depot or Loweβs. They a huge variety of screws, washers and even specialty attachment devices (think IKEA) furniture. They probably have it here. The store employees are always helpful. Highly recommended.β

I love these girls, and I'm so glad we have this business in the neighborhood. The few pennies more you might pay for an item is well worth it because of all the time you save getting in and out. Time is money for me plus the headache I don't get by not having to shop The Big Box stores are priceless.β
βI had them cut welding cable to my request and it ended up being the wrong size. They were gracious enough to swap it for the correct size even thought it was my error. Also their employee Ben is top notch when it comes to service and demeanor. You donβt come across employees like him everyday. Theyβre lucky to have him.β

βPriscilla is the bomb, helped us beyond just checking out. Best stuff for the price. COVID played Hell with inventory on all levels of retail. But most of their stock is back. βI walked into Ace with a crib screw problem that Home Depot couldnβt even begin to help with. Before I could explain the whole thing, a guy named βHey Mikeβ β yes, thatβs literally what his name tag says β stepped in like it was nothing.
He grabbed pliers and an Allen wrench, freed up a jammed bolt-barrel nut combo from a baby crib bracket in about 30 seconds, and acted like it was no big deal. Didnβt upsell, didnβt stall β just fixed it.
If youβre stuck, frustrated, or out of your depth, donβt waste time elsewhere.
Just walk in and ask:
βWhereβs Hey Mike?β
Heβs the kind of guy who doesnβt just solve the problem β he makes your day better while doing it. Legend.β

Ok, 6/5/2024, the delivery and set-up went great. They arrived early, got everything put together, and took the old one away. Friendly and professional. I'll check in occasionally to see what else they might have. I wish the actual Lowe's Store would simply come BACK to this location!β

While the store is smaller than the giant retailers like Lowe's or Home Depot, itβs much easier to navigate and I found exactly what I needed. Their prices are very competitive, and I felt like I got a great deal on the quality.
To top it off, the cashier was friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. If youβre looking for specific tools or organization gear without the warehouse hassle, definitely check them out!β
βHad every thing I needed, for not a lot of money. Staff was helpful , but you will have to track someone down, they are not fully staffed on the floor . All in all got in and got out .β
βI do NOT get all the hate for this location. The only thing I find unsatisfactory is the parking lot, but that is just that it is in a busy shopping area and that is how it is.I mostly come for garden whatnots. And frankly, this Lowes has the best garden whatnots of any of the other stores in the area. Better than Southlake, South Arlington, Hurst, all of ya! I have bought plants, seeds, pots, and said whatnots. It is always well organized, stocked, and also their plants have been taken care of. I said mostly garden whatnots but I also come in occasionally for command hooks, a broom, a power drill and a sink plunger. I love that I can look things up on their website and it will tell me exactly what row and bay where it is located. I walk in there knowing where I am going and exactly what I am looking for. This is a big place and knowing exactly where I am going is super useful.My only complaint is that they seem to have gone fully self checkout inside. You can still get someone to ring you up in the garden center, but you are out of luck in the AC.β
βGreat place to get window screens made and repaired! Barry took care of a few window screens I needed, and at an amazing turnaround! I took the screens I needed repaired and also made a request for additional new ones in the morning, and by the later afternoon I received a call that Barry was done!
Previously I took the screens to another Ace in Arlington and they held them for 1 week without even starting on them! This is the Ace to visit! Great customer service at Van Marcke's Ace Hardware and an amazing team. Thanks Barry!β

βIan was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my BBQ questions and needs. We ended up going with a Traeger and are so happy with our smoker/grill. They assembled it quickly and Brett and Ian came through with a timely delivery! Will be heading back to purchase more pellets and sign up for the grilling newsletter.β
