“This store is filthy. They are obviously moving fixtures around and the floor has not been cleaned. There was much dust and debris behind the cashiers station. This is a far cry from when the Cyrier Brothers ran this ACE.”

She made my day by going above and beyond so I could do the job I needed to do that day.”

“I needed nuts, bolts, washers & lock washers to do some custom work on my Teewing X5 electric scooter. The young man there got all of it for me & it worked perfectly! He also kept track of the prices so I didn't even have to write down everything. I don't think I've ever had such great service at a hardware store before in my life & I'm 60 years old. I believe he's the owner's son but this young man knows the store very well & he knows what he's doing. I will shop at this store again for sure. Thanks & thanks to that young man for helping me! ??”

“Make sure you allow time to walk around the store. There's a 99.999% chance that they'll have the odd ball specialty tool that you need. And a 100% chance that they'll have a tool that you didn't realize that you needed. If you're in a hurry then talk to the guys behind the counter and they can direct to the exact spot that your future tool is hanging.”

“I took a leather class at Tandy Leather in Watauga and had such a fun experience! We made a large green leather tote (pictured), and it was really rewarding to learn something completely new from start to finish. The instructor was patient, encouraging, and did a great job walking us through each step. I did have to go back and fix a few things on my project, but honestly that’s part of the learning process and they were helpful with that too. Overall, it was a great hands-on class and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to try something creative or pick up a new skill!”

“I ordered a load of wood siding for delivery. One-third of the boards had holes unsuitable for use. The manager drove his personal vehicle to deliver the replacements (needed 9, he brought 10) which he personally inspected each one for holes and told me to keep the rejects that I tried to return to him to use as I saw fit. I don't often see that kind of customer service, but it was nice to see it is still being practiced today. Thank you, Sir!”
