I want to recognize Edwin for delivering what is, without question, one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had.
I came into the store with an extremely complicated billing issue that ultimately required more than seven hours to resolve. Throughout the process, Edwin worked with Verizon Customer Service, Fraud, Billing, Technical Support, and multiple other departments. At any point, he could have handed me a phone number and told me to continue the process on my own. Instead, he made the decision to own the problem from start to finish.
There was one moment that really stood out to me. A coworker asked Edwin if he had taken his lunch yet. He said he hadn't. The coworker suggested there wasn't much more the store could do and that I could continue working with customer service on my own, encouraging Edwin to go take his lunch. Edwin politely declined. He stayed with me because he was determined to see the issue through to a successful resolution. He literally skipped his lunch break because he was committed to helping me. That level of dedication is incredibly rare.
Throughout the entire experience, Edwin was patient, gracious, professional, and relentlessly determined. No matter how frustrating the situation became, he remained calm, positive, and solution-oriented. I never felt like I was just another customer or that he was trying to rush me out the door. Instead, I felt like I had someone genuinely advocating for me.
What impressed me most was that Edwin took complete ownership of the situation. He asked the right questions, followed up on every conversation, challenged things when they didn't make sense, and refused to quit until everything was resolved correctly. That's what exceptional customer service looks like.
Employees like Edwin are the reason customers remain loyal to a business. Verizon is incredibly fortunate to have someone who represents the company with this level of integrity, work ethic, and commitment to doing right by the customer.
Edwin, thank you. I sincerely appreciate everything you did for me. You turned what could have been one of the most frustrating customer experiences into one that restored my faith that truly exceptional customer service still exists. I genuinely hope Verizon recognizes the tremendous asset they have in you.
